I went into this expecting nothing but memes, but wow this felt really fun to play!

The art style is great, the mechanics feel a bit floaty but in that "every action is punishable" kind of way. Tough but fair challenges and a weird blend of games that feels like something someone would blend together inside a dream made this a standout game in this jam! Thank you very much for making!

So, I may have played through up to the last boss in a frustrated manner completely forgetting there was a dodge roll...

While my first experience was unfortunately soured by that, once I remembered dodging was a thing I was able to beat Yuyuko and had a lot of fun with it, and went back to play the rest of the game again in the intended manner. I like the cutout style for the characters and how they're animated (probably saved a of time on your end too, heh), and I was also honestly quite impressed you went out of your way to make cutscenes.

The memes were... OK, I guess... but the combat was actually pretty fun to figure out, and rolling past things feels very smooth and satisfying!

One problem I have with the game though is that attack patterns don't always seem to end properly when you drain out a lifebar, which is pretty annoying.

A very whimsical interpretation of Touhou game-play wise, I quite enjoyed it even though this generally isn't my kind of game. The art is wonderful, and the boss fights were engaging.

Fun, Hilarious boss rush fighting game that controls really well.

Loved the cutscenes, death screen, references to ER, AMONG and CHAOS

Added a QoL version, in case you want to play but you have a different keyboard layout or prefers using controllers.

Only doing a windows build for now since nobody seems to be getting other versions, but if you need it for mac or anything else, do ask. Web version will still be the original jam version.

Do try to use the Jam versions of the game for rating as much as possible.

The art, Elden Ring-ified character designs are all *chef's kiss*. Game's also ridiculously funny.

Only issue I have is the spear's pretty OP, in which most of the battles can be finished in less than 5 mins if you spam attack between the bosses' attack patterns.

There is so much here to take in, I’m not sure where to start. So many funny details, really entertaining all the way through and a rewarding challenge too. I thought Ran’s boss fight in particular was a lot of fun.

Only criticism I can think of is that the Spear of Amogus seems OP compared to the other melee weapons (which is a shame because the fists and sword/shield have cool attacks). But in any case, I had so much fun that I’m gonna start practicing for no hit runs right away.

Soulslike and Touhou? Strange combination, but it fits.

A challenging and interesting game. I really like how the latter bosses' attacks encourage you to use and switch between the 4 different weapons well. For example,  one of the attacks Yuyuko's third/final phases has her rush you super hard with close-range fans, and if you try to stubbornly speedkill her with the spear you're more likely to either die or not have enough health to outlast her far-range attacks with the clusters of aimed fans and laser waves.

The main complaint I have is that the controls can feel kind of... slow? Especially the dodge button, there's a littleee bit of delay between when you press it and when Sumi rolls to dodge which can make perfect dodges very difficult on denser patterns. Also, the Jump button is a bit useless.

I really like the overall presentation, funny intro cutscenes, FUMOS, music is a bit repetitive but it's got that Epic Orchestra vibes to it.

Good work on the game!

I died.

The game is challenging and quick to reload after a death, which helps keep you infuriated that Ran has more health bars than any one fox-person deserves. Protip: the spear is bound to key 4, not key 3 like the UI suggests.

While I struggle to throw punches in my own dreams, beating bosses with bare knuckles was surprisingly effective here. The tiny cutscenes that happen are also pretty well done and quite the surprise themselves! Nice job! It was fun!
