I got through three sandstorms, but they seem to be getting worse and I can't really tell how the sand blocking works. What counts as behind the walls or buildings? Also will there be an update for this. I can't seem to build camel pens or smithies, and of course monuments are listed as coming soon.

Really fun until the sandstorms eat everything you own. I tried a lot, but it felt that loss was just inevitable, but that could just be on me

No that’s not just on you - loss is inevitable, and an intended part of the progression

Currently the soft reset doesn't work right - after the soft reset hits, your population manages to tick up by 1 before the game actually pauses, causing the reset button to vanish.  If you blinked and missed it, then it looks like the game just stopped, which is easy to mistake for a 'game over'.

I'm so torn on this game. I've finished almost every game in this jam, but I really struggled with this one and never finished, despite it being clearly well-made and interesting. I think there's just something about the number of actions, amount of planning, and time it takes to demolish construction and fix mistakes, and how extremely important building placement is.

I also hit a really sad bug where I failed after a very long run and reset (with bonuses). The game then incorrectly dropped me to 0 settlers when building the first settlement, and I had to reset without any bonus (I assume, since the bonus isn't visible).

great little game, tight balance. Forces player to hold back and be patient, as a nice little flip on the incremental genre

Enjoyed playing it. Bookmarked for some more later. Plenty of things going on to keep your attention.

Fun- Had good fun, would play again. Interesting implementation of lose conditions. There seems to be a few bugs with the last few researches though.

Balance- Felt great early game, had a consistent sense of progress. Late researches feel kind of time gated and sandstorms are way too powerful and disruptive even with defense imo.  Walls didn't do much.

Uniqueness- Even if it is a pretty generic building mechanic, researches and expeditions add some spice to the mix. Expeditions not so much though, kind of underwhelming except providing a source of metal (which I assume you would get from smiths if they were properly displayed anyway).

Theme- I'll be honest, there's not much going for it other than time passing and being a thing. Would like to see stuff like seasonal changes, add other weather such as scarce rain which briefly turns some sand into dirt? There could be more going on here, I'd like to see this concept get expanded.

An incremental with a lose state! Love to see it :) And oh boy do those sandstorms come in harsh!

Honestly, really like this survival incremental game. Like a minimal, desert themed “frostpunk”. Like the 4X style research tree, and in general the mechanics are just really fun and work well together. I like that there is a solid base that is built upon, and can continue to be built upon.

Definitely one of the stronger games this jam! Although, I will admit I don’t think it will receive as good of a score for relating to “time” as the other entries. While time is involved - time passes, and things like building and expeditions take a certain amount of days to complete - it’s not as thematically based around time as some other entries.
