Ranked from 7 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

In what way does your game fit the theme?
A 3D platformer roguelike! Every buff you get comes with a curse, and every room is random! The game's narrative also fits the chaotic themes of Davy Jones and his Flying Dutchman, and melds multiple genres together in one chaotic group: Space, Eldritch, and JAZZ. The soundtrack and art style was a mix of multiple to create chaos across every aspect of the game's design.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, except for shaders.

Cool game! I like the idea of brewing powerups :]

An interesting mix of mechanics, art and audio styles. However the platforming mechanics needed more polish, as I was able to effectively get myself stuck on geometry, thus ending my play session. Still I think you've got an idea worth exploring further via more development.

I appreciate the feedback! We're working on making some of that smoother. Any specific things about the platforming controls that didn't work for you beside the geometry?

It was mostly be unsure of what I could jump onto. Things looked like you could jump on them and turns out you couldn't because it was too high even though it looked like you could. Also the shader used makes it hard to also tell how steep something is.

Great job! Loved the art. Platforming controls were slightly frustrating.

If you have another person and a controller available to plugin please check out my game!

the first 3D game I have played in the jam, and I really liked it, good job.

I hope that I can see more games like this from you in the future,

and I would appreciate it if you test and rate my game, give it a try :>

Very interesting and unique visual styles! Currently there's no introduction in the game and storytelling is kinda lacking so I would love to see some of those in the future! Keep it up!

Also I would love to hear your thought and rating on my game if you interested, please give it a try!

For sure! Yeah, unfortunately a lot of the features we were working on were /almost/ done. I ended up finishing them the next day, but you know scope is always the problem with jams x) never properly account for things going wrong.

Lots to come post-jam. We weren't trying to win, but rather, show what we were capable of.

I'll take a look at your game!

I love the models and textures in this game, very Lovecraftian.

Thank you! Our artists put in a ton of work. There's some other guys that didn't make it in like the eye crab:

Because of the Chaos theme, we decided to take the three "chaotic" aesthetics we drafted up during game ideas and just mash them together!

Check out the game page for some narrative, extra guidance, and information on the game! We plan on updating the game after the jam concludes with goals of a future steam release. Enjoy.
