I really like the game it gave me anxiety thinking milo will get attack sooner or later, the art is simplistic but it got the charm and the music are just great
Thanks for playing! :)
Very nice game, I really like the aesthetic you got here, and the sound design was also great.
The movement of the camera seemed a bit too fast to identify the monsters and towers (and made me a bit dizzy), so I really appreciate the soundeffects that told me what was there, but other than that, and interesting mix of mechanics and a great game! :)
Thanks for playing! You can use the scroll bar (map) at the top to move at your own pace or use middle mouse to drag the environment if you're finding the auto-scroll a bit too intense! :) Glad you enjoyed it, though!
This is a really good and fun game! Easy to understand and presents all the info you need conveniently. Music and art are great too! The only minor complaint that I have is that moving the view around is a little awkward. Regardless, great job!
P.S. also note that the game is a bit laggy on potato hardware, despite its seeminlgy simple mechanics and graphics
Thanks for playing! It’s likely the colliders on the snow particles that is causing the lag on lower end PCs! Could definitely update the game to have some graphics settings to toggle :)
Oh possibly, I was impressed that the roof of the house actually stopped the snow in fact!
That kind of setting was definitely not needed for the jam, so don't worry about it. It's a nice to have if you plan on taking this further though.
This is a really good jam game and the idea is also great! I didn't find any bugs, and I had fun! The only critiques I could give is that the fast moving screen is a bit hard on my eyes, but it's no big deal. All in all a nice game!
Thanks for playing! :)
I loved it! Really nice art style. It wasn't so appealing at first look but created a cool atmosphere for sure. From this point of view, I liked the music also. You motivated me to use some acoustic music on the next jam. The mechanic is simply clever. Like this type of game.
Good job!
Thanks for playing! :)
This one's excellent! I found myself making constant decisions as to where I should focus my attention, attempting to ensure a stable balance between the collection, defense, and objective completion.
The idea of one pool of resources for all actions means that there's always a tradeoff for committing to one pillar of the game loop. The dwindling resources across the map additionally create a natural ticking clock as the difficulty steadily increases.
I hesitate to give suggestions here, as there's already a very well-defined balance in the existing mechanics. More enemy types with additional house upgrades might be a nice thing to explore?
Excellent work!
Wow, thank you so much for your detailed comment. I really appreciate that you have commented on the game design in detail, as it was one of my favourite things about this project coming together.
Thanks for playing! Really glad you enjoyed it. :)
Really cool game! The mood and aesthetic really sucked me in. Only thig I'd suggest is maybe a way to navigate by clicking on the map. Would be nice to see enemies on there too. It was very hard to tell if anything was getting close to Milo
Thanks for playing! You can drag left and right on the environment with middle mouse button plus use the slider (map) at the top to navigate around, is that what you mean? I did consider putting the enemies on there at one point but I decided the player should manage going back and forth to check on Milo! Glad you enjoyed the game!
oh yup! Looks like you can and I just didn't realize. Sorry about that. That's a fair point about the enemies. Great work a gain :)
Thanks for playing! :)
