This is definitely one of the best jam games I've ever played. I can definitely see this being a viable commercial game. Loves playing it!

I am using linux as my primary operating system so I was wondering if it's good enough to submit a game that is playable in the browser or will I have to provide a windows executable file as well?

This looks amazing and I am amazed by the fact you are giving it to others for free!

This is a really fun game, specially for a jam game! Love it!

Thanks! I appreciate the compliment!

That is an amazing score! Thank you for enjoying the game so much!

Ok so my best time is 4:27, it isn't too fast but I think it's quite decent :D

Thank you for the kind words! We are glad you got the chill vibes from the game! The feature of showing what items changed after you lose will hopefully make it into the game soon enough!

Man I love seeing what people make with pico8, this is a really nice platformer, great job!

I am quite certain it's not possible for items to change and not showing it. We've playtested the game a couple of times before posting it and we've not encountered that. But I want to point out that bobosupreme couldn't spot the items that have changed a couple of times which made him think nothing changed, so that may be the case here.

It's not a dumb feature to ask for at all! I've myself forgotten the number of items changed a couple of times while playing, and I don't know how it didn't even cross my mind to put in the number of items changed in the level itself...
Thanks for the constructive criticism, it really helps! We are glad you enjoyed our little lo-fi memory based Dark Souls :)

Thanks for the feedback! That is a well requested feature that will make it into the game!

I'm not sure how we would add the example of an item changing in the game, since that would require making an example for each item. The window changes by becoming a rectangle. In the future updates we'll work on making the difficulty curve less steep so that you won't need a screenshot at all, but having manual controls for the zoom doesn't sound too intuitive so I fear it may not make it into the game.

Thank you for sharing your opinions with us!

Well I wish you luck! I myself have never even considered going for such an accomplishment!

Thank you a lot for the compliments, we are really glad you like it!

Yeah we do plan on adding the counter showing how many items you have selected and how many you have to select in the next update!
Thanks for enjoying the game and thank you for the kind feedback!

This is a really nice game! It took me some time to realize that the enemies don't hurt me, but my bullets do, which I think is a neat little idea, but the problem is there is no need for me to shoot at all then... The addition of multiple bullets is really good, each bullet type is fun in it's own way. My personal favorite is the waiting bullet :D

That is something we are trying to figure out, the difficulty curve is too steep so it's one of the things at the top of the list that needs fixing.
Thanks for still giving it a try and giving us feedback!

I actually think that is bigger than my best score. I mean I didn't get to play the game too much at the end, but I was the one who drew every single item in there... Well guess I'll have to beat 22 now...

Thanks a lot!

Man, that's just pure dedication! Congratulations and thanks for enjoying our game!

This is a really good jam game and the idea is also great! I didn't find any bugs, and I had fun! The only critiques I could give is that the fast moving screen is a bit hard on my eyes, but it's no big deal. All in all a nice game!

Thank you so much for the kind words! The big block of text is definitely intimidating and feels like a chore to get through so it is one of our things to focus on post jam!

Those are some great suggestions! The idea of showing the changed items is something that will make it into the game some way or another in the future!
Also thanks a lot for the compliments, it means a lot!

Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts, that is certainly an idea worth considering!

Well it is a game made for a game jam. When a game is being made in such a short period of time you have to worry more about things like bugs and implementing important features, and even that isn't easy in 2-3 days. Nonetheless thanks for leaving a comment and appreciating the game idea!

Thanks a lot for the suggestions! Seeing the first item change is something that would be tricky to implement because the way things are as of now, so we can't really go with that approach as it would require a lot of rework, but highlighting the right (and wrong items) after the player clicks the confirm button is something that will surely make it into the game!

Thanks a lot, we appreciate the kind words!

Really sorry about that, we will make sure to make it clearer in the future! Also thanks a lot for the compliment!

Thanks a lot! We are glad you enjoyed the experience :)

It looks so simple but so good at the same time, I love those simple style games! The color palette is also amazing, and the gameplay is really nice. Overall great game!!!

I've had fun playing this game! Really well made, good job!

Man I would've never guessed steering a boat would be this fun. Oh and also, incredible visuals!

Probably one of the best looking games in the jam! The gameplay is simple to understand, which is a good thing to have in puzzle games! Though one thing that I've seen but out a little is the raft's movement from time to time, for example sometimes it goes diagonally or moves just a tiny bit. Oh and also the music doesn't loop, but oh well. All in all, a great looking game!

Thanks a lot for playing our game and thanks even more for uploading it to youtube!
The backgrounds changing color is a really interesting idea, but for now we have to work mostly on making the game a bit easier with a better learning curve, but nonetheless it will be considered!
With gratitude,
Steve

Thanks a lot! I have to admit that is a fair point. Making the instructions clear is one of the most important things to do when making a game, so it will definitely be worked on!

You are absolutely right about the description! I can relate to not wanting to read an essay of a game explanation, but that's just how it is sometime, though I'll do my best to make an intuitive tutorial the players will be able to go through! Regarding the ending, that would be tricky game designwise, but would certainly be satisfying, so it's worth considering!
Thank you and thanks to your wife for enjoying out little game :D

Thanks for the kind words, your game is also amazing!

Thanks a billion :D

Thank you! I'm glad you finally got it in the end! And it's not problem at all!
