Chaotic game! I included it in my GMTK compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Nice mechanics and concept. I think the player's movement speed is too high and the camera's field of view too small to be able to see where we go and preshot our next move.

The concept of getting rid of enemies using a tether is really cool. It would be nice if the levels force you to use this mechanic more. The hook itself feels great. Nicely done!

Finished the game :-)

At start I thought... what in the world my guy can jump so far and skip a whole level like this ??? oO

And then I just went through the level flying around with my hook.

The feeling of freedom is actually unique ahah.

This looks like a "white box" phase. If you have the energy and the time to do a full game you definitely should !

A cool character grappling around with style and ease.

An image is better than a long explanation so I did this :

Hi DigitalGear!

The physics in this game are bonkers! I love the grapple hook swinging mechanic. I may not have played long enough, but I didn't find a use for connecting blocks.

I think the controls would need to be a tad bit more responsive. There are a lot of time where I felt like my grappling hook should've stuck on and it didn't. Widening the window of when the player must click to grapple is a must, otherwise it feels a little clunky.

Great start! It reminds me of like a super hard spider-man game. Well done!

Thank you for your feedback! One of my bigger mistakes this jam was spending so much time making the secondary grapple ability. It can be used to launch physics objects, but I ran out of time and wasn't able to make it a more important mechanic. I like your Idea for the more forgiving grapple I think that would have made the game a lot better.

loving the grappling hook, it feels great when you string a few moves together and go flying through the level. Not sure how to kill the enemies though. I like the idea of the tether as well, used it in the first part to test on the blocks but not too much after that. Great work!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! You can kill the enemies just by bumping into them or throwing an object at them with the tether, I had to cut corners on them sadly.

Cool game! I enjoyed the grappling and movement for the most part, but I think the camera needs to be zoomed out a little. As is it was hard to see what was coming. I spent a lot of time flying through the air wondering if I was headed towards certain death. Outside of that, though, this was pretty good. Nice work!

Your right! I never even considered zooming out the camera (probably because I knew the levels). The next game jam I do I really need to get some playtesters other than myself. Thank you for your feedback!

The game was fun but the movement feels really wonky and the aiming doesn't always aim where your mouse is. Alot of the map can be cheezed by getting to a high point and launching yourself to the goal in 2-3 swings. Most enemies can be ignored. It was defiantly fun to find these cheeses though, and the speed running potential is very high. Good job

Thank you! I really appreciate the feedback!
