Jesus fuck the ending

While this game may not stick to the original backrooms formula, it sure as hell knows how to make it better

If you like the backrooms, definitely give this game a try

Cool game :)

It's pity that the project of the game is lost :(

Played this in prep for the Heilwald Loophole, and can't believe I never played this backrooms game, its very good :)

So the files got corrupted.. almost like something..I mean someone didn't want you continuing work on it. How odd.

Your take on the backrooms has got to be the creepiest I've seen.

Loved your game also I made a video.

Is a very good game, but I encountered problems after downloading!

i

I have nothing to say but enjoy this video thx bye

Screenshots are giving me Bendy and The Ink Machine vibes, maybe i will download

edit: sounds made me so scared that i clicked alt + F4, cool game.

Liked this game quite a bit! I'm happy that I never actually got too lost even though I had no idea where I was going, and I don't know if that's how you programmed it or if I just got really lucky!

What a great game , what really is enjoyable is the suspense it creates and each time something changes. The thought of the void creeped me out so much and this is game did it plus the jumpsscare was really fun

Great game!

Really amazing use of sound design and atmosphere to make the experience super creepy, loved this game! Glad that the recent Backrooms hype has led to more people playing this game!

Loved the journey of exploring through the backrooms while collecting tapes that tell you the experience of someone else, among other creatures. Good design on new paths gradually opening, it makes it seem more fluid and nails the feeling of being inside someplace that may be alive. Thank you for making this!

nice game...checkout the video...

I like the game!  I thought this was a really cool backrooms-style game!  I was constantly scared while playing as the atmosphere and sounds kept giving off this unsettling vibe.

That's epic. 5/5

Good game, 10/10!!

LOST IN THE BACKROOMS

this was a great game, really unnerving at times which I enjoyed

Good job 👍🏼

I pooped my pants
100/10

Game was so good at keeping me in constant suspense, sucks that the ending was rushed tho. still an awesome experience

Really nice game. It could have some bug-fixes tho but overall a good game. I know you can't improve the game because of corrupted files.

This was fantastic!

Personally, really didn't like the end. the noise that plays is really grating, and it's clear what's going to happen when the tape stops, but everything up to that point is absolutely amazing. Fantastic work!

Thank you!

Yea to be fair the ending is pretty bad imo. I just kinda rushed it because it was made for a GameJam.

Appreciate the honest feedback!

Hi I heard you lost quite a bit of your data on the backrooms game you made, and I figured maybe I could reach out and you may say yes.

Now onto what I would like to ask you...

Would you like to collab on a project I will be working on??? I will need a lot of help with it and will be super appreciative if you agree.

It will be a normal fnaf game turning into a backrooms game but instead of backrooms entities it will be FNAF animatronics chasing you into hallways with lockable doors.

Again I would really appreciate if you agree I can write out the scripts and all the functions but I will need your help making everything.

If you have any further questions my email is Monkeyghostroaster@Gmail.com

Feel free to message it anytime you feel like you would like to collab or have a Q&A.

Thank You For Your Time Have A Great Day. :)

😊👍

Fixed resolution means it runs poorly on my computer. Please add option to change resolution?

This was truly an experience, while I was walking I kept repeating to myself "please don't have some monster following me" and honestly up until the end I had no idea if there were actual creatures in those halls or if it was just noise, and *spoiler alert* in the end, even though I predicted that the body would just get up and run towards me, it totally made me jump, this was so good lol, great job!

Hello. I feel like this is divided into levels 0-3 and a fanmade level known as the intermission.

If there is carpet you are in level 0.

If there is tiled floor, you are in level 1.

If there is a wooden floor in every neighbouring room, you are in the intermission.

If there are tiny halls with pipes, you are in level 2.

If there are brick or tiled walls, you are in level 3.

Is this correct?

Using this theory i have a proposal for an update:

-I have counted 14 cassete tapes

-So I propose that in the next update, 2 of the tapes will always be in level 0

-4 of them will always be found in level 1

-5 of them will always be found in the intermission

-another 2 will always befound in level 2

-and the last one will always be found in level 3

With this feature, another feature will be added to go with the first feature. The second feature will stop you from going to the next level without finding the cassete tapes for the current level. For example, you will not be able to go to level 1 without having all of the cassete tapes from level 0.

Update: After some thought I decided to rename the level with wood floors as a fanmade oddball level known as "the intermission" which will acively try to convince you to try levels 0 or 1 again before going to level 2.
