Butler slow upload speeds

I'm using Butler for the very first time. This is my first push and I read that it would take a while. But it seems Butler isn't using my entire bandwidth. I'm only seeing around 120 Kbps, but my regular upload speeds should be around 2 Mbps (more or less x20). I also did speed tests and it should really be higher than what I'm currently seeing in Butler.

Is this normal for a 1st push? Can I do something about it?

It's not normal. Where in the world are you? Is your CPU at 100% as you're pushing? Uploads go directly to Google's cloud infrastructure so they should generally be pretty fast.

I'm in the Philippines (south east asia). It's not 100% usage. Also closed any application that could be hogging it. Still no good

If you can, I'd recommend trying to find out what server butler is connecting to when pushing a build - I wouldn't be surprised if it's a server in the USA, which would explain the subpar upload speeds. I don't think there's much we can do about that in the short term, sorry :(

I apologize for resurrecting an older thread, but I'm having the same problem on Windows 7 x64. However, if I upload on my Mac Mini, it is infinitely faster. Seems like it might be a Windows-specific bug. Also, I'm in Portugal.

Could someone please have a look into this?

Thank you kindly for your time.

If you're only seeing the issue on Windows, my best guess is an Anti-virus software throttling the rate at which butler can work, either when reading files from disk, diffing them in-memory, or sending them over the network (the disk/network ones being the more likely).

Are you running any AV software besides the built-in Windows stuff?

I'm using no AV whatsoever. I guess Windows Defender could be a thing, but I have never run it either.

Also, for reference, my upload speed is usually around 100Mbps, but on butler i get around 300KB/s

And what speeds are you seeing when uploading via butler from your Mac Mini?

I'd really like to solve this issue but until I can reproduce it, I'm kinda stuck :(

That's fine, sorry if I'm being a bit hard to read.

My builds upload nearly instantly on my Mac Mini. So, about 50-70MB done in about 3-5 seconds.
