Nice game.

  • I like the art style.
  • I like that the enemies/obstacles are pulsating/moving (and not just static).
  • I also like the choice of music.

Problems:

  • As mentioned by others, the coin system is currently broken. (The coin multiplier seems to start off as 0 instead of 1).
  • The game needs to be more zoomed out, as you currently can’t see where you land when you tripple jump. This makes jumping over three stacked enemies very frustrating.

Suggestions:

  • It would be nice to see which level the player is currently on. This gives a sense of progression that seems to be currently missing.
  • The basic jump power should be recalibrated. In its current form it is most of the time either insufficient to do a single jump, or too risky. This forces the player to do at least a double jump most of the time, making the single jump somewhat useless.

Good game!

Here is my feedback:

What did I like?

  • The gameplay and the mechanics of the game.
  • The music and SFX.
  • Good usage of the theme.

What did I dislike?

  • The camera follows you whenever you do something. That made me feel vertiginous, i.e. that's frightful.
  • There is too much text on the about menu (tutorial) and the shop.
  • The graphics look ominous.
  • The difficulty of the levels is imbalanced.

To Fix

  • There are more than three colours on the game.
  • Collecting coins doesn't increase your wallet.

Suggestions

  • Decrease the volume of the music.
  • Add level selector.
  • Display the number of the current level and the total stages of the game.
  • Add the ability to go to the main menu by pressing "Esc" or something.
  • Keep the text short of the shop and the about menu/tutorial. E.g. Instead of "Use the A and D...", write something like, "A/D -> Move left or right", and the same thing for the others. Keep them short.

Nice Small Fun Game With Cute Graphics And A Good SoundTrack. Just some feedback it would be nice if the camera didnt move on the y-axis and only on the x-axis it would make it a little less hectic. And If the colliders were slightly smaller than the spike-thingys.

:D

Sure. Thanks for the feedback. :)

Nice fun little game! I liked the sound track and the idea of collecting coins to get upgrades via the shop! I hope the coin system would've worked as I have noticed it hasn't worked for others. I love the ability to triple jump, but I would suggest changing the camera's movement a bit so that the player can view where the character is going to land. As per the jam's pov, I'm not sure whether the game uses only three colors, but either ways good job at making a fun game!

Developer (1 edit) (+2)

I saw the limitation for the jam was that the game could only have 3 colours. Thanks for playing the game :)

fun game  just need to make the colliders a little closer to the objects and check that bug about the coins
what did you use for the camera movement ?

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the suggestion :). I used Unity's Cinemachine camera.

Tried it out, and I noticed that there was a shop, however it appears as if I can't collect any coins - they just don't add up whenever I pick one up. Because of that bug, I couldn't utilize the upgrades sadly.

Another issue was with the camera being a bit too high. Oftentimes I couldn't see where I was landing and had to guess. Other than those two little things, cool game!

Sorry for the bugs. Thank you for your suggestions. :)

Cool little game.  I'd suggest working on tightening up your collision shapes a little; they register hits when the sprites aren't in contact.   Also, my coin total wasn't changing when I picked one up.  I'd love to see more yellow in the game itself, too!  :)

Developer(+3)

Thanks for the suggestions and next time when I make a game similar to this one I will remember to add more yellow. :)
