How're they all faring? Good spirits and good health I hope.

I hope. I am not sure. I've just been fortunate enough to have an open communication with them about the ßeta.

It's a shame they don't feel like doing that with the rest of the community. And I don't mean they should answer in every topic around here, but some sort of actual presence would be nice.

Agreed. It would be nice. But I imagine they're stretched thin. I am not sure how involved Scott is after his health issues emerged. So I imagine it's just Mark powering through the programming with Chris and whatever other small staff they have - doing some initial testing. But poking in from time to time to say, "We've not forgotten you guys!" would be nice; just not sure how possible it is.

poking in from time to time, writing a short message takes a couple of minutes. It isn't a terrible task or a burden even if they are only now basically a hobby project. They don't have to write detailed descriptions on what they do, just a line showing that there is someone working on this project would be nice considering how long this has already taken.

Not sure why you feel the need to defend them when their behaviour went way past indefensible a long time ago. It's been two months since any developer communication on this forum (or anywhere else) and it takes five minutes to write a few sentences about what they're working on and when they expect to provide another build. It's safe to assume that at the nine year point of this project they're not working on it so hard that they can't find that amount of time.

Maybe because I am an old man. I've learned - or try to - release the things that cause me frustration and try to embrace understanding. Walk a mile in my shoes, type of thing. Sure, it's been a long time - maybe way too long - since this KS started - and where it is now. But I guess I have other things (games, life, whatever) to occupy my time, so waiting here for this doesn't bug me.
