Fun, compact little game! I had to do a bit of guess-the-verb, but nothing too difficult.

I'm guessing there's only one ending? J SDH UFIJBP J XJPUY MG DMKG YF PGY LJV FW YUG HYDNG MGWFLG YUG EJHJYFLH HDS XG, YF BF DEDJK.

I really liked this -- my own favorite flavor of ectocomp game.

Thanks. Glad you like it.

I liked yours as well. A very luscious writing style.

For people unfamiliar with parser game, just type help in the game for some basic help with commands.

I'm totally stuck. Can I have a hint please? (If there is a hint.)

Developer(+1)

Of course!  There wasn’t time to build a hint system in 4 hours but I’m glad to help here.   If you are basically at the very start, I’d recommend checking your inventory, and examining each item. If your further along and can’t describe without spoilers, or need more clues then just message me.

Thanks, I wasn't sure how to hide spoilers on itch. I might need to send you a message.

Ah, I just realised I don't think there's a way to PM you. I'll try to be vague.

I'm not sure I'm using the right sequence of commands (or perhaps it's just the wrong item if this is correct.) I've been trying things like use item on face/nose etc but it doesn't seem to like it.

Developer(+1)

yeah that was a tricky one. I made about 5 verbs work but it’s easy to miss one. Try “wear <item>”

Thanks, I'll try that :)

Thank you for the hint, I got through. Suitably dark end for a spooky themed game :)
