Ranked from 78 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

In what way does your game fit the theme?
When you die, the game rewinds 2 seconds and you have a chance to save yourself by killing the enemy that killed you.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, I wrote all the code (using p5.js for animation) and the music (with Bosca Ceoil). Got the sound effects from sfxr.

That is such a cool concept! Saving yourself. Me and my brother had a good time with this game. The best score i got was 1420 on hard difficulty. The game is polished and I only have one problem with it. Enemies can spawn at your position or close enough that you run into them. Other than that excellent  game.

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you both enjoyed the game :D

Congrats on the high score! It's great that people are trying out different difficulties rather than sticking to easy or going straight to impossible haha.

Enemies spawning to close is a known problem and one that I will fix once the jam is over :)

Thanks for the feedback!

This is such a cool game! The controls are super tight and the rewind mechanic works so well! I also really loved the complexity added by all the different enemy types and mechanics! My one criticism would be that I think the combo meter doesn't really matter unless you are playing on the harder difficulties. Maybe slow it down a little bit when you play on the easier modes. Overall though, I absolutely loved this entry and it's one I feel like I could end up playing over and over again!

Thanks for the feedback!

You're completely right about the combo meter, I will either increase the time it takes to disappear or maybe change the combo system to wait a second or two and then go down one at a time rather than completely resetting to zero.

Feel free to play it as many times as you want haha, it would be great to have people play this even after the jam :D
