Ooooh, what a game!!

It's rare for a game to make me laugh out loud. This one did, and it felt so genuine, so effortless. It was like a good friend walking up to you and telling you a short joke they came up with themselves. Not the kind of joke that makes you burst out laughing, but the kind that leaves you with a quiet smile. Then, half an hour later, you've already gone your separate ways, you realize you've stopped smiling—and then it suddenly hits you that the joke was about more than just the joke. And you smile again.

Damn, I wish I had the courage to make games like this. Instead of spending months obsessing over systems, just creating a statement that doesn't need them—a statement powerful enough to land with nothing more than two stock images with watermarks.

Thank you so much for writing such a beautiful and thoughtful note. This really means a lot to me, and I feel very encouraged by it.

I’ve always been fascinated by the atmosphere of your games, and by how cohesive they feel (Polynya and Tropic of Dinosaur are my absolute favorites!). I think your obsession with systems has led to something truly special.

In contrast, I often struggle with adding more depth and layers to my game, or with figuring out how to build systems where multiple mechanics can really come together. So most of the things I make are still very short. I sometimes feel like I’ve been stuck for a long time at the stage of making small “clever” mechanics.

Maybe having the ability to make something and having the courage to make it are two different things. But I really hope I can find ways to step outside of my comfort zone more.

Thank you again for your sincere feedback. It helps me accept where I am now a little more, and also makes me feel more grounded in enjoying all kinds of games.
