I’ve always been fascinated by the atmosphere of your games, and by how cohesive they feel (Polynya and Tropic of Dinosaur are my absolute favorites!). I think your obsession with systems has led to something truly special.
In contrast, I often struggle with adding more depth and layers to my game, or with figuring out how to build systems where multiple mechanics can really come together. So most of the things I make are still very short. I sometimes feel like I’ve been stuck for a long time at the stage of making small “clever” mechanics.
Maybe having the ability to make something and having the courage to make it are two different things. But I really hope I can find ways to step outside of my comfort zone more.
