I'll start of with the good bits. The art assets are well utilized, I actually have the same pack of assets, but I hadn't thought to use them the way they were used here. The overall control scheme seems decent with there not being that many issues. Though at the start i had no idea I would hang onto walls and thought the game had glitched. Overall, idk how big the game since I couldn't complete it, but any sort of functional game by the end of 48 hours is an achievement.
Now for the criticisms. The lack of music and sound effects make the game seem a little creepy? I'm not sure if that's the sort of mood the rest of the assets are fit for but I digress. The lack of animations and particles somewhat hinder the games feel as it doesn't exactly feel polished.
The vibe I'm getting is "I want to be the guy", as it's promoted to be a really hard game. So saying that 'the game was hard' is somewhat of a null argument.
I would have loved to seen the random magic system but I won't complain if it would have out of place.
