Any news about this? Just wanted to check in because it's been two weeks.
We are working a lot now on K-Engine, even because it will be an important product for us, in the future and we like it a lot. But I'm sorry we can't releasease it now because there are several minor things to fix and some features that still need to be updated. We are building a real game engine. I mean, if we release it right now, people may find some incomplete features and they may give up.
Otherwise, if you want it, as an internal test, you can jump in and tell us your opinion, impressions and the aspects you would like to get in the engine. We are also working with some creators, but we have to consider that the engine is in the alpha stage.
Ok, my colleague is gonna send you a copy tomorrow. It would be great to have your feedback, and especially to work with you on new suggestions for the engine. Because we are working hard on it, but users and creators often have a different approach, which is great for us to improve the engine, UI and experience.
Hope we can start a collaboration and I personally hope you can find K-Engine useful for your projects, especially when the full final version is officially ready.
Done!
We sent you the alpha version of the current state of K-Engine. Just download it, unpack it anywhere in your PC and run it. At the start, simply select a folder where you want to create a game, then launch the editor.
Max has published some initial tutorials on our channel and website too, but more are coming as soon as the engine dev is completed. We also want to create additional content and assets, and we hope you can do the same. We have also set up a social gaming marketplace to connect gamers and creators,
For every question, please don't hesitate to contact us,
Thank you for your interest, your patience and your passion.
Yes we started our project using Godot, plus we did and we are still coding many additional parts in GDscript of course and C++ too, as usual.
About plugins, we've primarily focused on performance and avoiding bottlenecks, then we will also release more examples and docs on how to develop plugins, on our website.
PS: it's a gaming social marketplace!
(Plugins in K-Engine basically work like game mods), we decided to adopt this solution because it perfectly matches the game architecture when exported.
and... hopefully, more resources are coming! :)
