Whoa, what a cool game! The concept is fantastic, and I love that I couldn't see anything and had to use the sonar (or sounds) to detect things and remember to stay on target with the map. Really awesome stuff!

If you continue to tinker with it, the tutorial said the map was M, but in the game screen it was different (S I think?), so I'd take a look at that. I wouldn't hate also having the map on M, even if you don't list out all of the controls in the game screen (since there's a lot to focus on already). Also, while I love that sound design is involved, the high-pitched birds and chirps and tones are a bit hard on my ears, so I really couldn't use them as intended. If possible it would be great if they could be changed to gentler sounds. Even turning my browser volume down, it barely took any playtime for the sounds to just be too much for me.

I'm putting this one on my "replay" list to see if I can make some more progress and figure out more of the controls. I'm also going to send the link to my brother - I think he'd really love to check it out.

Really cool stuff - thanks for encouraging me to check it out!

Thank you! (I can't believe I messed up the tutorial like that 😭)

I'll absolutely add key binding after this, thank you for the idea! Apologies on the sound front, the audio gets funky on different computers (and especially through playing on web), I'll most likely go in and lower sonar pings and add more volume sliders in the settings. Thanks again for all your thoughts!

I’d love to know when the sounds are fixed, because I got the game recommended to me but I am also very sound sensitive, so I’d prefer to hold off on playing until then. Would you let me know? :)

Currently working on accessibility options! (changing volumes will play sounds, so you can adjust before getting into the game)

They should be ready soon; I'll send another msg when they're uploaded :)

I thought the problem was more about the pitch and pleasantness of the sound than the volume; these are all about volume, right?

I haven’t tried it yet though! That looks promising and I appreciate the effort towards the accessibility. Thanks for the update!

Yeah, I've adjusted the sonar ping to be softer too (extra options are there in case I missed anything else, especially since some louder sounds like the flak and hit sfx aren't fully necessary to play)

I've uploaded the new version now (with some added things, now the game can properly save)! Feel free to let me know if you encounter anything that might hinder your experience :)
