You know, I didn't think it would run at all, but it did. What version of Unreal is this?! It's very optimized on my 2012 potato. 👍

Graphics:

To my surprise, this doesn't look unreal at all! It looks like something from the 80s
Gameplay:

I didn't understand.
MULTIPLAYER?!

You are crazy
From a technical standpoint, this is probably the most technically challenging 3D game on Jam. The gameplay could use some work and a little more flavor. The controls are ok

Wow! Thank you for the comments on the technical aspect - I definitely put some hours in to this one

Its Unreal 5.5.3 (blueprint code) but as you can tell, I made an effort to really try and have the retro vibe. Turned down settings, disabled features and textures are I think max 128x128... mostly 64x64 (made with an app called Wally). Than 3D models, rigs and animation were all done with the internal Unreal Engine tools.

Thanks for playing!

Edit: Also most textures were Unlit - I still used Lumen that created a bit of atmospheric fog to the world/sky but pretty much no dynamic / global illumination lighting.

Oh, ue 5?! I thought my box was no longer capable of anything 🥳

UE5 is a beast but you can def rip out and disable a lot of the resource intensive stuff and use it for 2D / Low Poly / PS1 / Pixel era stuff =)

Yes, I would like the UE to be more optimized and disable resource-intensive unnecessary things by default.
