I had another comment ask about health bar. To be honest I played it so much before submitting that I didn't even think about it. The progress bar at the bottom shows the player's rotation speed and is also their health. Collisions with voids act as hits, and the meter decays over time, and the coins fill it up. When it hits 0, that's when it's game over.
Yes I think the lag spikes are probably unavoidable, my last game had horrible lag in browser as well. I did add a little optimization for the web build. If I develop it further I'll add options to turn off particles, the distortion fields, and the color effects.
