Hey everyone! The spirit of the jam is that the games produced are visually predominantly Synty.

It’s alright for you to use custom fonts, sounds, and music, because we don’t make those obviously. The point of the rule is to ensure games are visually Synty. So for example it’s fine to use custom simple UI elements, but if your game was predominantly UI based and you’re making everything custom, then the game would no longer be mostly Synty. It’s hard to make a rule that covers everything, but the key idea here is keeping the games visually, obviously Synty.

Aye, I had similar thoughts, cause it is not written specifically in the rules - but your clarification is clear and should be added to the jam description somehow, if possible.

From my understanding, something like: "Synty assets are to be visually predominantly Synty, be clearly in the focus and spotlight of the game. 3D assets can ONLY be from Synty. Other filler assets which you created or have the legal rights to share and distribute for UI, 2D, Audio, Fonts, ... may be added, as long as they are not taking center stage and the focus away from Synty.

That is clear enough, then :)
