Thanks Vinnie! Glad that you enjoyed this quick little project. Made in just two days though. Working on the Friday so only started on Sat morn and completed on Sunday evening. I prefer the very limited time as it keeps things small. But pleased that you had a bit of fun. Curious to know which apple was the trickiest to find?

Jade always manages to disturb. The first sight of the Jabberwocky looming above and around the building is one such example. Very atmospheric and with a real retro vibe to it. I particularly enjoyed the camera angles offering varied perspectives and vantage points. Jade really needs to develop one of his game into a full length project.

Great fun. Witty writing and great voice acting. I particularly love Officer Hopkins. What a cute bunny partner for the detective to have. I kept falling off the map but loaded up again. A lot of fun. I hope that you develop it further.

Melancholic and atmospheric. I do not know the source material but I hope that there's a happy ending. Great voice acting.

There something very satisfying about controlling the fairy through the forest. A real fairy tale feel with appropriate music and gentle narration.

Yay! I delivered all the presents! Glad that everyone was pleased...as was I to play this!

Smooth controls and camera animations. It had a family friendly Resident Evil vibe. Atmospheric and it would be interesting to see and hear the game with a choice of music and sound effects.

A wonderful winter wonderland of a landscape offering a real fairy tale quality to the game.

Atmospheric and peaceful. Nice way of adding in fairy tale book titles to the theme.

Great atmosphere Mel! Dark and brooding. Horror is definitely a genre for you. I particularly liked the flaming torches and the spooky sound effects!

Thank you so much, that is awesome. I do enjoy it when I receive feedback about parents and kids both playing my games. Ha ha...apologies for that one elusive Aquadillo! Glad that the first person motion was smooth. The controller I use is very, very smooth, something that comes in handy with the levels I make. Thanks again for playing!

Thank you very much for the feedback and comments, I really appreciate it. Glad that you enjoyed it and the relaxing vibe! Thank you.

Really fun, lots of replay-ability to better your previous score. The music and design and buoyant character really helped to sell the feeling of begin underwater. I like that you chose the right kind of items to be falling from above, cannonball, barrels etc. The shark was cool and as Jade has mentioned, the pushing down of falling items adds a little extra challenge. Great work.

Great job! A very colourful and fun side scroller. Quite a challenge. But I did manage to score 2073...not sure if that's good though? Ha...it would be great to hear some sound effects and/or music but you've got the makings of a super fun game. Great job!

Thanks Mike. I'm pleased that you enjoyed it and picked up on the atmosphere of the game.

Thank you!

Thanks Jade, glad that you liked it. Yeah, I like to try and offer a relaxing, chilled experience. I am pleased that that feel carried through. I will develop this a little further and add some detail.

What a fantastic underwater environment to explore. Colourful with a really nice a atmosphere and feel to the game. I particular enjoy looking out of windows, surveying the terrain and looking at the details. And walking around on the ocean floor with Hammerhead sharks passing you by looks very cool indeed. I could easily see this being expanded and developed further.

Really well done Nikki. You have crammed a lot of features into this game jam project in such a small period of time. Not only that, but the whole aesthetic, choice of music, mood, atmosphere etc are all top notch.

You seem to be a natural games designer and the clever placement of collectibles, insofar as whenever you collect an item, if you look around your environment, your eye leads you to another collectible, often a little distance a way.

Really great work.

It might be the Wrong Pool, but it felt very right! The satisfying collecting of orbs and the great in/out of water sound effects. I could see you expanding the game with new environments, enemies and collectibles. Great job!

Loved the side scrolling shoot up up experience Jade! A new game style, which is great to experiment with. I did keep dying again, again, again, again...

...and....

again.

But never give up! Never surrender and all that. Great work Jade.

I can always count on you for a disturbing experience...which is good!

Great exploration and a satisfying underwater experience. Just using the controls to navigate and investigate points of interest. It has a pretty epic scale. Reminded me of the underwater scene in Waterworld, where we're seeing the countryside just covered in water. It just looked large in scope and is very cool.

An atmospheric little story. I enjoyed the whole aesthetic and the collecting and using of items. I enjoyed the underwater effects in the rooms and corridors, it did give the game a very eerie feel. Great job!

Great little story. Very effective with such atmosphere. I did enjoy the dark ending. I could easily see you making a similarly, larger project following this style of game. Heavy on atmosphere and story with some fun puzzles and tasks to complete.

Thank you for playing Picklepie!  I watched all through your video. Very entertaining and I am glad that you enjoyed the player reward scene at the end of the game. One day I would like to make a full on horror game, but for the time being, this Christmas themed film homage will have to do. Thank you again and for making the video.

Great walk through! You were very thorough! I hope that you had fun and you did well to keep the ghost in Room 237 just behind you without getting slimed!

Thank you Niven for your detailed and much appreciated feedback. First of all thank you for playing the game.

You are absolutely right, I only made the game as an excuse to recreate the exact design of the film maze, throw in a bit of snow and give the player a festive sign off. You are right, for no particular reason other than the idea sprang to mind when participating in a weekend game jam.

But I appreciate you taking the time to leave this feedback. Very cool. Thanks!

Well done BeefGravyStudios! Thanks for playing and well done for escaping the maze!

Great concept Jade. It has a real 'Metro 2033' fell to it, with all the destruction and the slightly post apocalyptic environment. It would be really cool to expand on this and make a short game. The enemy creature is really cool and creepy too.

Well done Cliff. From the moment the music starts the game takes on a very whimsical feel. And I have never played a game as a raccoon. This is a first for me. As you say, you should definitely develop the game a bit. It shows real potential and with the humour in the conversations etc it could be off the wall and funny.

Playing 'Xmas Apocalypse' was a lot of fun. It's amazing what you accomplished in a little over a day.

You should definitely develop the game a bit. It's really satisfying lining up two or more zombies behind each other and blasting them with the same bullet. It's colourful, fast moving and simple enough that you can just dive right into the action.

I could see this game taking on different environments and with different zombies. Great fun.

Thanks for the feedback Seb. Much appreciated. And you are absolutely right on both points. Having surplus keys in the maze would have been preferable, but I didn't know how to do it. Still so much to learn.

And the lack of verticality is a shame. Adding height to a map is something that I really love to do. That said, I have stayed faithful to the maze from the film and there are no booby traps or monsters etc and it's just a maze at the end of the day.

And you rant away. Always constructive and thoughtful. Thanks again!

Really lovely environment and look to the game. I thought that that black and white really suited the game and I guess Limbo was the last game that used B&W for me, so this looked really cool as far as I am concerned. The music and voice acting were really good and I could see potential in expanding the story a little. I want to know the details and what events that are hinted at. But maybe that's the point, for the player to decide for themselves?

But a really great game, especially using Unreal and learning how to do a lot of new stuff on the new platform. You achieved a lot in the time.

This was absolutely brilliant. An excellent project for such a short space of time. You created some amazing atmosphere with the haunting music track and the sounds of the harsh winter environment. I enjoyed exploring and the whole freezing mechanic. Really, very cool indeed.

Played to the end...I won't spoil it for others by saying any more!

really, great job.

I really enjoy a good tower defense game and so playing this was brilliant. It has so much potential. Will you develop it further, with other animals and locations? Very satisfying to build and create something within a game. Very cool work.

Great game jam project! You accomplished a lot in the allotted time-frame. Nice scene setting and atmosphere. Great job!

Thanks Geoff! And this is even easier than the original version. The super wicked strength Overlook Maze Edition!

Thank you very much. I appreciate all of your comments and I am pleased that you totally got the vibe of the game. I'm pleased that the controls were good for you too. That's great.

Thank you Jade! I appreciate your comments. With the sky I wanted to try and make a kind of Aurora Borealis. I had fun with the environment. Glad that you enjoyed playing!

Thank you for playing MrSupertash and thank you for your kind comments. I am glad that you enjoyed the serenity of the game. Hopefully it is a relaxing experience for all who play. Sorry that there was one elusive ice orb. That's a real shame. maybe you will give it another go at some point. Thank you for your feedback. Since yesterday I have made over a dozen fixes and changes, including the floating platforms and the orb collection radius, so thank you for pointing those out. And thanks for the heads up on the typo...I should not have missed that. I will be updating to a new version with numerous new changes and fixes after the jam games have been viewed. Many thanks again for checking the game out!

Thank you so much. I am really glad that you enjoyed playing the game and completed it.

Thank you for your suggestion, I love the idea of the orbs finding their place in the whale's graveyard level. I will try and create a cut-scene animation to illustrate your idea. I think it will work perfectly. Thank you for that.
