Any updates? I've been looking for a VN engine that supports plugins/extensions for gameplay elements that can also handle rapid iteration.

Yes we wanna release it as soon as possible. But we are also preparing a dedicated website where creators can distribute their games, and also talk about K-Engine (creating dedicated group in our community, for instance). It's important to have an infrastructure for creators. That's why we delayed the release.
It's ready, at least as a beta version.
At the moment, we are testing the tool with other creators for potential bugs and improvements. Would you like to try it too and give us a feedback?
