What kind of a game are you working on? I'm trying to do a solo project, but I'm willing to join a team as an artist if really needed and I like the idea.

Here's my itch.io page, but I have more experience in games than that (30+ jams last time I checked): https://sinistys.itch.io/

Judging from the word "tileset", is it a pixel art game perhaps? I have to say it's not my strong suit.

yes, its like a steampunk game, the lore is that a guy (player) started working at a factory and wants to get out but theres robots and he cant get out, everybody robots, but theres robots made by robots, the player is a little guy with a gear head, and we just dont talk abou the rest of the sprites. Player ---- > (also pixel art is not a need, im just more familiar with it)

I mean, that sprite looks fine to me, sorta cute :) Not sure if I find the premise that interesting for me though, I think I prefer trying to make my idea and learn coding while doing that.

yeh im not good at lore, but the mechanic is like you can throw a spinning gear that when hit something goes to a random direction and resets it lifetime but i cant even draw a gear. Enemy --->  Gear --->  Tileset ----->  .

also the gear works like a boomerang, im still refining the projectile (and the problem with the enemy is just hitbox)

I think the game looks fine, it's a game jam after all. Also, I was half expecting the guy to use his own head as the projectile lol. :D

For a game jam that's totally fine.  My main character is a triangle and all other objects are just shapes I made.

Your art looks cool. Seems like you're killing it as is. If you're comfortable keeping on as you are I'd do so. You've got a great look already.
