What an incredible short story!! I may have accepted 2 puzzles at the same time and it made me unable to complete the second properly for some reason :( It was difficult to know exactly what connection to make, it seemed like just trial and error, maybe have some indicator to hint towards the next connection? Saying that making a boat out of the connections from the stories was such an ingenious idea!!

Oh nooo sorry you got stuck friend! I’ve been hearing about that bug from a few people this week, so I’ve just uploaded a new web build with a safety guard for that. You don’t have to replay the game, this is more of an FYI 🤣 it was an annoying bug but now there’s some text preventing you from activating a puzzle if there’s another one active!
I do agree on the signposting though, a lot of it is a bit trial and error and I think for future builds I want to implement some sort of guide. Maybe colours, or indicators, or something like that. I like the idea of keeping the UI minimal for immersion reasons, so I’ll find a way that makes sense with the general mood. Thanks for sticking with it until the end though, and for your very kind words! It means a lot to see so many great comments around grandpa 🥲
Np :) i looked at the bug list and didnt notice it so thought id let you know :) yeah i agree emotional and atmoshperic games benefit from guidance embedded in the gameplay! A couple of cool ways would be sound something like a whispered echo of the conversation you're remembering could suit the feel, a wisp guiding you around the path, maybe you only reveal future nodes once you reach the previous one? Just a few of the ideas off the top of my head, for grandpa :)
