Aw man, I wish I'd been able to get Final Dungeon Quest to work on my setup. I think it's the only one I didn't play, and only because I couldn't.

Thanks for putting this together, and I'm glad I was able to take part! And thanks also to all the other participants: your games were great and I enjoyed playing them. I was honestly impressed by how silly a lot of the entries weren't - my whole approach was "how do I make the most Ultra Serious thing possible using these assets, which seem very much weighted towards the silly", and then other people just... ran with it, and it somehow ended up working really well.

Yeah, I thought The Skellification of Everything was another one I thought did well there. Admittedly it is still quite silly, but being presented with a child’s voice you get the sense that it’s serious to someone and there are some meaningful choices in there. It’s putting the scruffy crayon assets into a context where they’re not entirely ridiculous.

I had to borrow a Windows laptop to get Final Dungeon Quest working myself. I imagine the technical barriers were probably a significant factor in the low number of ratings. Definitely give it a go if you ever find you can! I’d certainly prefer if it were easier to run, but I feel as though there’s a massive difference between a game that works under limited circumstances because it’s doing something bold and interesting and one where the creator just doesn’t know how to make it more widely accessible. This is definitely the former.

I'm sorry my game won't run on your rig (yet). The decision to go with a minimalistic webgpu library wasn't made lightly.

Unfortunately, there's just no "good" way to bridge Twine with 3d in a reasonable amount of time that also ends up widely accessible. Sure, I could've gone with something full featured like babylon.js (and still might for the future desktop release!), but those kinds of libraries are excessively bloated for the web. On the other end, three.js is so minimalistic I know from experience I'd have spent days fighting rendering order alone. Ugh.

However, my game continues to see daily progress, so you can bet a much improved version that runs for you is coming. Especially since a mobile version is very much in the cards.
