Deeply soothing and gorgeous simulation. The music, sound effects, and controls strongly synergize with the entire experience which further elevates the whole.
I had never heard of boids before, but now I'm inclined to write such a simulation in PICO-8.

Thanks!

Yeah, boids are kind of a classic computer science project.

I had to look up some of the equations to clean up my math and get everything working smoothly.

I think it would be perfect for pico-8 :)

what a therapeutic and serene experience. imo, a really beautiful take on the theme. it was really fun to mess around with the boid settings, and observe how the boids would start reacting to my mouse. fun tool

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

I think your game was the first one I played in the jam just because of the cover art.

You did an awesome job :D

This was surprisingly calming! Cool to see someone use a jam to learn a new language (data oriented too :P). For what it was trying to do, I think it got the point across and I enjoyed tinkering with all the settings.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it :)

Wasn’t shooting for the moon with this project. Just tried to keep the scope small and get something on the board by the end of the jam period.

Good luck with the jam!

Really Enjoyed the Boids taking up the my whole monitor as I have a widescreen monitor.

Wish there was more of a game element.

It is cool making the Boids fly in a certain direction and seeing how many go up vs down.

Thanks!

Yeah, more of a demo than a game.

I find I can learn new programming languages/concepts faster if I have a specific (short-term) goal I’m working on.

Glad you enjoyed it :)
