I guess if someone would browse Itch in a translation mode, the tags would show up translated.

I am not English native speaker, but do browse the net and play games in English. Most translations are just awful. Plus I am fluent enough in English. Mostly because of video games ;-)

You recently changed your games. My advice would be: wait like three weeks or so. If your games are not indexed by then, contact support by mail. If nothing happens for three more weeks (no, not an answer, but check if your games are indexed), read all the rules of https://itch.io/board/10023/questions-support

Hello, nice to meet you. If you’re talking about indexation inside itch, I’ve actually been contacting them for a long time. After insisting a lot, a moderator told me that itch is not obligated to index my game, and that he already informed the admin. Since then, it’s been over a year, so I didn’t want to keep bothering them, as that seemed to be the final answer — that they are not required to do it, even if everything follows the rules. So, unfortunately, that has been my situation.

If you did not get an answer from support or an admin (the red badge, not the blue badge), you did not get an answer about your situation at all.

What no time tried to explain is this:

A few days, even a week or two, is not really long. And all no time does, is forward the ticket number. So asking again and again in public community message board does exactly nothing. This is not support, it is community support.

Last year was very troubling and a lot of things happened. Lots of distractions.

That's the reason for my advice. You changed your projects today. Any change can potentially result in a delisting or reevaluation. If nothing happens for about 3 or even 4 weeks, that's more than enough waiting time to contact support. As is the intended way as explained here: https://itch.io/docs/creators/getting-indexed#why-isnt-my-project-showing-up The issue is, that this "This proces may take a few days. Please contact us only after you've waited at least one day." is horribly outdated. It's not a few days. It's several weeks till one might consider contacting support. And the same for waiting for support to do anything, after you sent a mail. Several weeks is a realistic time frame.

So after you did wait twice for 3, better 4 weeks for Itch to do their indexing process, you can do exatly as the rules of the https://itch.io/board/10023/questions-support say how to, to try nudge support again.

Oh, and to back to the  topic, if you switch to paid, better do that on one page, and not sell different language versions separatly.

But the truth is that I have already been waiting around 4 months for indexation, not just a few weeks. I also feel that even 6 months is too long to wait.

I already contacted support months ago, but I haven’t received a clear solution.

I’m attaching an image of what a moderator responded to me. Honestly, I feel like they might have gotten a bit annoyed with me for asking multiple times, but my intention is only to understand what is happening with my project.

I would really appreciate it if someone could guide me better or let me know if there is any issue with my game or if there’s something else I should do.

I did read that conversation. No need to use pictures. 

If it was not clear, I shall repeat it. There is no use in posting more than two times in such an "indexing complain thread". The first is with your ticket number and the infos that the rules of https://itch.io/board/10023/questions-support require. The second is a thank you, after the ticket number has been forwarded. Pestering there again and again is not helping, as the moderator will not get feedback about this from staff. Also, most of this can be read in all the other indexing threads, plus the sticky threads https://itch.io/t/5805284/useful-answers  https://itch.io/t/4120453/unofficial-search-and-indexing-faq 

Long time has passed, and you have new project(s). So my advice still stands. Wait an apropriate time for Itch to do their indexing process, then write to support as their faq describes, wait again an apropriate time and then do what the rules of this message board category say.

Unfortunately, the apropriate time to wait is 3, better 4 weeks. And yes, some projects are intentionally not indexed. Your projects do not look like such. But also, indexing is low priority, as Itch sees it as a bonus and not a core functionality.

Hello, good morning.
Sorry my friend, but honestly I don’t know what else to say.

I already followed all the rules and did everything about 6 months ago. I even made the game free and followed every rule in the guide before contacting a moderator. In the end, I was told to plan accordingly. Only recently I changed the tags as you recommended. To be honest, I had already left this topic behind.

Maybe I misunderstood you, but you told me to insist — but where? I already sent two emails to itch.io support, which is why I included the ticket ID. In both cases I didn’t receive any response. And here on the forum, you already know what I was told 6 months ago, so I’m not sure where I’m supposed to insist.

I have followed all the rules many times, so I really don’t know what else I can do or say because I already did everything.

At this point I just moved on and started bringing traffic from my own social media. It is what it is for me.

Also, I already have a new project and I will keep bringing more, because I enjoy making this type of games in my free time. If there is no indexation for me, then it is what it is, since I already followed all the rules 6 months ago. Maybe it’s just a matter of waiting a year… who knows.

That’s why I made this post again, but I will delete it later — I just want to finish something first.

In the end, I truly hope I’m not bothering you.

Enough time has passed that you might try again. I see no reason why your stuff should be delisted, so it might be worth a try in a few weeks.

But can you tell me how or where I can contact them? I already posted here again saying that I’ve been waiting for 4 months and no admin has responded to me. I also sent another email to itch.

Here is the fourth time:

1. Wait 3-4 weeks.

2. Send an email to support.

3. Wait 3-4 weeks.

4. Make thread in message board with ticket number from mail respons to 2. And read rules of message board category what else to write in the thread.

5. Do not repeatedly ask in that thread you made in 4 what is being done.

You started at 4. And the only valid contact to https://itch.io/support is via email.

(I am irritated that you do not seem to understand certain things, like how support is contacted. It is clearly written in the faq and even in my answers I specifically mentioned how to contact support. By email. That you disregarded all the advice about waiting, ok, you can do whatever you wish. But I am genuinly concerned, that you have a lot of troubles because of language barriers.)

Hello, I understand what you’re saying and I really appreciate your help.

The thing is, I already went through this process before. I’ve been waiting for about 4 months for indexing and I followed the guide multiple times. The only thing I recently changed were the tags, as suggested.

That’s why I’m a bit confused, because it feels like I would need to wait several more months again, even though I already did everything before.

Anyway, I will wait another 5 months to reach a total of around 12 months. Maybe by then it will finally be indexed.
