It's obvious that a lot of work and care went into this—I love the small details like being able to flip the DNA helix in the upper right and the hover sound for the trinkets bar. Biggest thing hurting it IMO was tutorialization—ideally there'd be something in-game, but even a blob of text on the itch page would have helped a lot. Definitely interested to see what this would become with a bit more time/polish.
Great game!It reminds me Plague Inc.But thr only not good thing is theme - i think you could disclose it better
amazing ui, would have been better in a more readable font, this one is fine, but not on small sizes
Yeah I agree the font is difficult to read. I was experimenting with it. Old London seems best stylized and maybe not for general use.
I was a little confused, and the font used is a little hard to read, but I did like the idea, so I hope we can see this as a fuller game!
I like the idea. Though I felt i was just watching a simulation waiting for a choice, there's a lot of parts of your game i'm not very clear on or sure about. I can see how the game loop is appealing, pushing and trying to influence the spread of your sickness is really fun.
yeah I like it, I like the little look of it all and vibes and the simulation part really nice actually, does lag, I do not care for the events also but that's a me thing i do not care for paradox games events also per say. I think maybe a quick fix for the lag could be like a separate level system, like Attack on Titans walls city design, you take over one area (like the outer wall) then move inside and the others stop simulating, just a way of limiting it via story reasons.
Does clicking on a house do anything also? just confused there, I was thinking it could benefit from adding a clicker element to it, say you click on a house, there some germ particle effects, and they target the house a little more maybe.
The walled regions sounds like a good idea actually. And no, clicking on buildings only locks the description display (unless an event overrides it). Although now that you mention it, clicking might be what the game's missing, because it feels very boring and unsatisfying just to watch it play itself.
So cool! Very polished, everything is so punchy!
Although I have to admit I didn't completely understand all that was going on, I still beat it! Yes it was a bit laggy as you mentioned it, but given it didn't really expect tight reaction times and the game slowed down on events, it was not too big of an issue.
Congrats! Keep it up, I'd love to see more games like this!
