hey there, interesting game. i like the story you have, however, i think it could be a bit deeper. i’d love to see this when it’s finished and published with polished narrative. i really like the visuals and music of this game. the monochrome fits amazingly with this dark atmosphere. i also like the music puzzles, i don’t remember seeing those in any other game i played. gj

also feel free to try our game, it’s also monochrome for the majority of time and you might like it :D

The visuals and story of the game were really good. I got a bit lost in both of the photographs, I think I was missing one of the mechanics. Felt great to play though, nice work!

Really nice game! The atmosphere is amazing, despite it not really being horror-y, it constantly had this feeling of tension and thrill thanks to the visuals and audio.

Overall really cool, Thanks for making it!

Amazing atmosphere, art & sound design, I somehow keep getting stuck here (happened thrice), is this intentional or a bug, looking at one of the screenshots talking about rythm I feel there's more to play, please help

This game was SO EERIE I LOVED IT!

It felt very realistic, and I was holding my breath for a lot of the playthrough. The audio design was so perfect and the visuals were outstanding. This was a near five star experience, my only damper was that I did get stuck at a certain point, and I couldn't move. It was like a hallway, and I was trying to go backwards then I kind of just lost ability to move. Probably just user error on my end, getting stuck in a wall!

Excellent game, props for doing this in under a week!

Thank you, I am very glad that you enjoyed it. The game has a critical bug at the end of the game due to the door, but it can be avoided and the game can be completed.

I loved this game. Incredible entry for this jam. Excellent theme-matching, great psychological tension creation, extrimely polished short story. This game is worth winning the jam!

It's incredible that with just 2D pixel art, with a old screen effect, simple sound design you created more tension that regular horror films. You used simplicity as your best weapon, delivering a really good short experience. Game art! Well done and keep developing :D

Beautiful art, it would be nice if there was a more obvious way to tell what you're interacting with.

Loved the artstyle and how you made the pixelart work even with the low res.
The sound puzzles were good and weren't hard to understand, but what confused me is that I thought I did it right and was going forward but in reality I was at the same place everytime. Would appreciate some sort of audio or visual queue to when I get the puzzle wrong.

The story seems quite deep and in need of a long version, would really like it.

Overall this game is amazing and you did a good job as a solo dev for this time limit.

The artstyle of the game looks really nice, with a really immersive atmosphere. Unfortunately, I can't get to the end due to the game crashing in the room puzzle (the second time you go through the corridor). Speaking of puzzles, I am not a big fan of the audio puzzles right now, as the sounds seem so similar to each other, especially when I am playing just on an ordinary setting without blasting the volume up to eleven. I guess it would be way better if there were also some graphical hint as well, or at least make the sound significantly different for it to work. But other than that, I think the game is pretty well made and polished! Nice job.

Other things I like:

  • An unsettling story (would love to see the ending though)
  • Nice low-resolution style that reminds me of some really old games

Suggestions:

  • I will suggest using E for both interacting and progressing text. It felt a bit strange to have two buttons that basically do the same thing
