This game seems really fun with the blend of real world settings and in-game adventures!

Delightful LARP, makes me sad I no longer work in a central office with my coworkers.

I really like the idea of this game. It is clever. It is a nice reminder to take time for your self even at work. Every day I always try to find something fun to do. Sometimes I read children's books (we have a whole wrack of them). I just appreciate you spreading the message our jobs don't own our souls and we should have fun at work even if it something as simple and silly as pretending to be a spy.

Aww, thanks! I am a kind of person who walks along a wall while humming Mission Impossible theme whenever I go to the bathroom; silly is my second name! Very happy to share some of my nonsense with the community!

This is clever! I love the language you use throughout, your layout is super clean and fitting, and so is the art. The idea of actually physically interacting with things at work and using points you gained from other things to inevitably win is really clever. And it’s (unless I’m misunderstanding) really cool that you’re basically doing the exact opposite of what you’re doing in the game, and yet it has the same outcome: you’re (potentially) doing something you shouldn’t. I’ve never had a job in an office, but people sure pay attention to your bathroom breaks or when you’re away from your department in retail work, so running off to the break room fridge or bathroom or something would be suspicious, and those are what gain you points and eventually win this game.

The way you encourage not working as a substitute for hacking, stealing, and/or deleting data, or whatever else, is REALLY clever and a perfect balance of real life vs fantasy.

Thanks a lot, that's very profound! You've totally got the point about how player's mood influences the game tone. Yes, people are kinda not supposed to play during their breaks. If you do something you enjoy (like play a game) instead of chatting about "Patrick's new car" (fictional situation) you may be seen as rude. I never understood that. This game is a way to still enjoy breaks in the way I want.

While Intruder aims big offices for the spy/hacker theme reason, the same tone influence actually works pretty fine elsewhere: at school, in public library, retail job, etc. Whenever you play in a situation where you prefer to do some sneaky dice rolls (because you do not want to talk about your hobby with strangers, because you're not in gaming-friendly space, etc) it will eventually take part in the "sneaky as a spy" mood.

Thanks again for your input and hope you had fun reading it!

I never even considered that! I'm imagining trying to sneakily roll dice "where you shouldn't," or even using a random number generator on my phone in spaces where you're not supposed to use your phone lol (school, work, etc are all valid there).

I also agree on the "doing something we enjoy" vs "talking about Patrick's new car" lol. I hate small talk so much. If someone wants to tell me that they got a new car and it'll help them take road trips home because they miss family or something, cool! I love to hear that. But if it devolves into "my car is way better than yours and it gets 31 MPG and has a zillion horsepower and I talked em down 3 grand because I'm so charismatic" then just stfu Patrick lol.

And I really love the idea in general of gamifying more of life. It gets us more excited and interested in each moment, and makes life more livable 🧡 I'm bipolar, life being livable is highly necessary for me lol

This game is so clever and so playful , it encourages you to see yourself and ordinary places in your life with new eyes.  It's a cool way to look at the theme as well, thinking about "not supposed to be here" in familiar and mundane places.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for kind words! I am really into playing pretend and this theme inspired me a lot for Intruder. It is highly hackable though and I might publish a derivative game about public places, parks, etc.

How incredibly creative! I really like the incorporation of real life locations, and the way it encourages you to play pretend to make an otherwise boring workday more fun. The game is easy to understand, and I really like the visual design, too. I definitely think this could be built out into something a lot bigger, it's got a lot of potential!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot! Yeah, it was really a game to fight boredom at work, but also in schools, in hospitals, etc. I am working on a different much bigger game with the same larp-like DNA but even Intruder might receive some reasons or additional content.

This is clever and has inspired a few notes for a break time rpg idea for me too.

I could see a little gadget shop purchase table being an interesting addition to this. You could spend varying amounts of points for items that have different uses.  Like: Clipboard with inventory sheet -3 points (looks legit). Cat video on Youtube pulled up on your phone -1 point (this might or might not be too convincing, roll for success)… etc. but I also like how you’ve left it to the player because they can put as much or little imagination into that as they want. Ok -3 points “ a gadget saved me” or -3 points, I used specific thing that caused specific reaction, wooo that was a close one.

Great job on the layout and illustrations as well. This is a neat little breaktime side quest with rules that are easy to remember so you can play anywhere.

Thanks, that's very sweet and so many nice ideas! I've thought about a shop first but didn't want to make the rules too complex: as you say in it's current state it might be played without reading or referring to the rules at all. But I am sure there is a nice way to make such variations easy enough to remember!

I am so happy it sparkled your imagination! That's the whole point of such games! Cheers!
