Phew,,, got tons of thing to tell you,,, first of all art was great,,and the ctr screen like effect also blended so well,,, hey i wanna know something,,, the narration of the game was perfect and seriously i expected some kind of a twist,,, maybe i missed,, bcz when even from the beginning all levels were unlocked, are we playing a loop,, look like ur game have some sweet lore in it,,,i gotta figure out,,,also if u got time dont forget to give my game a shot too :)
Thanks for the feedback!!! Lol, I didn't mean for any lore, but I didn't really know how to end the story because I kind of didn't have any time to create something. Come to think of it, I should've added some twist at the end of something, which would make it really interesting. Although I think the voting is over (not sure) I will defo try your game!
The effects and polish takes the homerun, little issue on level 3 i cant finish it cuz of the spike platform with the spikes at the bottom it just auto kills me but all the other levels were fun1
Thanks for the feedback. Yup, that level was kind of rigged cause the hitbox was too big and too close to the platform
Fun and simple game I love platformers, and this one feels great im also realy happy to see someone else use gdevelop it is one of the most underrated game engins out there. Check out my game leave me a rating I would be realy be greatful I also used Gdevelop so let me know what u think.
I'm glad you used Gdevelop too, I almost thought I was the only one lol! Thanks for the feedback!!! I'll check your game out!
A short but very enjoyable game. The art and gameplay fit perfectly together. Congrats on finishing it! If you have time, feel free to try my game too! 😊
Thanks for the feedback!
Every time the narrator said "you were able to obtain... APPLES!" I chuckled. The jump was a little floaty, and the hit boxes were unforgiving, but it was a really good effort!
Thanks for the feedback!
The game was fun and very charming. However, I think the hitboxes on the spikes were a bit too big since it was very easy to die even when you were nowhere near them. Still finished all level with all apples though!
Thanks for the feeback, and yes the hitboxs on the spikes were too big! I have to make sure that I adjust it next time!!!
Сool platformer
Thanks!!!
I love the visuals, music, and the audio that walked me through the game! Overall, super cute! But I couldn't make it past the 4th level with the big spikes... 😭😭
Lol, its okay the spikes were kinda rigged and messed up. I am happy you like the visuals, music, and the audio!
I like the concept and the level design! I love the main menu art and the piggy character art a lot!
I couldn't hear any sounds or music except for the apple pickup sfx (i'm not sure if it's a bug on my side or there just aren't any other sounds added. I managed to get through all the levels without any issues, and noticed that when you complete level 6 it says "congrats for beating the level, you can now continue to level 6".
I really enjoyed the game and the story in it, i think you did an amazing job!
I have some suggestions that i think would bring the game to the next level, if you decide to keep working on the game after the jam! (Of course, this is all my opinion, you don't have to agree with me <3)
- I'd also suggest making the collisions of either the platforms or the character a bit smaller, as you can literally just stand fully floating on the edge of the platforms.
- For me personally, it was a bit annoying to switch my right hand between the arrows and the mouse for the UI, adding a WASD or keyboard control for the UI would make it easier for people like me :D
Thank you very much for the feedback!
Lol, I never noticed the bug on the level 6 completion screen, thanks. I'm unsure about the inaudible audio, but there may be a bug? Thank you so much for the feeback, I really appreciate it!!!
super cute!! i found this nostalgic and endearing, i couldn't get past level 4 but i think that was a skill issue on my part hehe!!
Thanks so much! Sorry it was a issue on my end as the hit box was slightly too big! Thanks for the feeback!!!
Pretty simple game. Cute tho!
Thanks!
This game was so cute! You definitely stuck to the theme well. The art was adorable, you and your sister did an amazing job! The film grain was a little heavy, but it gave it a cool retro vibe regardless. The spikes had a hit-box that was hard for me to get the hang of, but that might just be because I'm bad at video games lol
Overall, for your first game jam, I think this is an excellent and adorable game!
Yup, I just noticed the spikes hit-box was a bit too big. Next time I will keep an eye for that! Ngl, this is my first real game so this is a big learning experience! Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it.
Very cute game and art 🐷! I enjoyed this art style very much, congrats! I also saw that this is your first game jam, that’s very cool.
I liked the narrator, he made me laugh and although the game is simple, I liked playing it.
I have two downsides to tell, though. On level 5 it seems to be impossible to collect all apples, because I always die trying to get the last 3 ones. I guess the collision is too big for the spikes, but that’s something easy to fix. The other thing is that moving with arrows, but jumping with space is a little weird. I think it would be better to jump with the up arrow too (or moving with W, A and D), but maybe that was a personal choice.
Anyway, you made a good job with this one 😁, and congrats for your sister too, her art is very cute.
I also made a game for this jam, if you have a free time check it out 🤓.
Ya, the arrows thing was kinda a personal choice! I didn't really take that in account before, next time I'll probably use w a d and the up arrow as well! Thanks for the feedback!
