The controls and gameplay are good but it can be a bit hard to see the boss attacks. Especially for the 2nd boss as the camera is zoned out quite a bit, so everything is smaller and less noticeable.
The first multiple times I beat the first boss the game failed to spawn a door for the second level, which also played quite a bit better than first, so I thought that was the whole game until revising it now for my backlogged reviews. A nice surprise lol
Cute little platformer. The platforming abilities felt good to use, and the bosses felt very fair with their telegraphs.
I liked the autoaim and that you included at least two different mobs and two bosses.
I managed to save the universe with less than 8 seconds to spare! Talk about clutch!
Some improvement suggestions:
- What is the green item that drops from enemies? Is it a heal? It's not clear from the "default godot icon" they have. XD
- The hitbox on moving platforms (boss 2) is was not very clear. I thought they wouldn't hurt as long as I wasn't below them or between two of them (avoid getting crushed), not that they hurt if I stood on top. XD
Good job!
Hey, great catch with the heal, I forgot to change it before submitting.
As for the platform, one of the 2 patterns is bugged and also hurts above the platform. That's something that I decided to fix later and never ended up fixing it. Thanks for playing!
Solid foundation for a shooter platformer!
I like the boss fights - they really break up the pace from the regular platforming sections with pretty simple enemies.
It looks like there's a bug with the audio settings where they're reset when changing or reloading the scene. Controls seem like they persist. Small issue in the grand scheme of things, though.
Good work on the art and the music & SFX. Would be awesome to see this polished up and some more content added after the jam, good work from the team!
hey this is pretty fun. Seems like its begging for a reload mechanic like in gears of war. You can add a little tween for boss attack cues or maybe some screen shakes to juice up the game without adding too much work.
one of my playthrough kind of bugged out after fighting shiori. It went to 00:-1.98 and have to reload the page.
Hey, that's an interesting bug. Do you remember more details about it?
And thanks for liking the game. The game originally DID have a reload mechanic, but I decided to keep smart auto reload only as it felt more fun.
it only happened once so I'm not sure what the trigger is.
After losing, I respawned back at the beginning of the level and the time was already in the negative. No control at all.
A short but simple shooter platformer and the final boss was fun to play against. I enjoyed it!
Competent shooter platformer. The bosses definitely aren't pushovers. Well done!
That was fun all in all! Nice work getting it out.
The lack of scenery when facing Gura makes it really hard to tell how her movement works. The red shots when facing Shiori are too hard to see.
We love run back to the boss
My new best is 54 seconds, on stream. Can't post the picture for some reason.
sub 1 minute
Pro Gamer. I don't remember mine sadly, but I think I have some sub 1 and sub 2.
now this is epic
