I love the evil ass face Aya makes when you finish a headline

Tengu Reporter Slanders Judge Of Hell, Instantly Regrets It

this bird is terrible, i love her. all the articles are so fucking funny and i loved reading them, and the headlines were equally great and not too bad to guess. insanely good artstyle too, really drives in that old-timey newspaper feel in a unique way! plus it allows aya to doodle over the pictures to make them more accurate, that was always fun to see. i’d imagine the headlines are a bit easier to figure out with the sound cues in the post-jam version, but simply thinking like aya and horribly slandering everyone makes it simple enough. as for the secret ending, i definitely thought you were just supposed to write every single article with a positive spin instead of vile slander, so it took a frustratingly long time to actually figure out how to get it. once i actually found out about the sound cues, it was pretty straightforward, but it really didn’t help my confidence when two of the first words on friday became unselectable for reasons i can only imagine. overall, though, it was really fun! gave me a few laughs and a new perspective on how evil and slanderous everyone except aya is.

Thank you so much! We're very happy you enjoyed the game, and also that you found the secret ending. As for the two unselectable words on Friday, we will look into that as soon as possible, since that didn't come up in our testings even for the latest version.

Thank you again for playing our game!

I love the concept and the style! I do like how some newspapers had a little sfx for picking the "right" choices, but I found it lacking for Eiki's paper, making it really hard to figure out what to pick even though it made sense in my head. I say just make it clearer and you have a solid game! I'd love to see more.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! It's good to know that people are enjoying it. About the sfx, it only plays when you pick a word for an article for the secret/alternative route; but yeah, now that you mention it, it being the only sfx that plays when you choose a word may be confusig to some people. We will fix it when we update the game ^^

Ohh yeah you might wanna swap it! The secret route being silent makes more sense.

Amazing game. It makes me feel bad for slandering the characters but it's part of the job so what do ya do? Although I would appreciate a way to reread the conversation before the article. I got stuck on the third paper and I'm not sure what it's supposed to be since I expected something about diseases.

I really love the game concept though and if you expand it I hope you make more aftermaths for different headlines rather than one single correct headline. Maybe a score that gives you points depending on how sensational your article was depending on your words.

Developer

Thank you so much!!! Initially, we thought of making a score system, maybe we should reconsider it when we expand the game. And yeah, we will also make more alternative headlines >:]

I had a ton of fun with the game during my initial bad-end playthrough, but struggled with the secret ending and wasn't able to get it. I blame Aya's bird brain.

Developer

Thank you very much! It is always wise to blame Aya, yeah. We encourage you to try once more and get the secret ending anyways >:]

Got the secret ending! I was hunting for titles that didn't exist on my first playthrough, so gave up on day 1 after I couldn't find it.

Developer

Thank you for playing! And yeah, we made alternative headlines only for a few days; maybe we'll do for all of them in a future version

The presentation of this game is immaculate and insanely charming. But I'm left puzzled at what to do at the first paper. Is it a deductive reasoning game? Am I supposed to guess and check?

Developer

I see that making the headlines is causing trouble to some people, maybe we should've done a small tutorial afterall. Thank you for pointing that out, and yeah; basically, you have to guess the right words in order to get the correct headline. We will try to fix that when we do an update to the game. And also, thank you for finding the presentation so charming and telling us!

This game would've been much enjoyable if words had tags or groups to them so you can actually write something like "sacrilegious moon rabbit chucks her dango with Lunarian bricks"
I struggled so hard on first paper that I gave up on doing third one.

Developer(+1)

Noted, we will have that in mind if we keep updating the game. Thank you for telling us

Had to click on this Immediately when I saw it was about the Worst Character Ever <3. The concept is very funny and the writing is just hilarious, especially the leading article paragraphs + the ads/comic strips.  I think Aya would sound fancier than that but the whole thing was very funny so I'll give it a pass on that department. The gameplay is pretty straightforward, though I was only able to get the bad ending (obviously.) Maybe I got too much into the character and I'm unable to come up with flattering headlines... Is the alternative nicer?!

Developer

Thank you for your kind words! It's good to know you had fun while playing, that's the main priority. And also, we encourage you to get the alt ending, if you dare..!
