How does your game use the Zombie Girl theme?
Agnes is the tragic result of Ophelia’s necromancy and the game’s core utility tool. As an undead girl, she is immune to environmental hazards and strong, making her essential for solving platforming puzzles. Her unique condition is the key difference that drives all player progress and cooperation.

Optional themes
Witch (Ophelia)

Róger Goulart (Game and Graphics), Luíza Schütz (Graphics), Natalia Graziela and Flávio Bezerra (Music).

Double jumping zombie? Yes!!!

I think this is the only game so far that has made me think “wow, that’s great game design!” and the presentation is also excellent. My only complaints are 1) the footstep SFX that sounds like it was recorded with a bluetooth headset and 2) the slow movement speed (it’s fine since you can make the characters ride each other, but if this game was longer it would start to feel tiresome). I can feel the love and effort you guys put into it. Keep it up!

Edit: I see you used AI for spell checking. While this jam has a no AI rule, I won’t disqualify you for a minor thing like this. But in general, I’d much rather see a few spelling errors than text that has potentially had major input from AI.

very cute game with lots of polish! it feels like its the perfect length to showcase all the mechanics on display. I'm not normally a huge fan of slower 2D platformers, but the movement speed is well tuned to the level design, and the balance between action platforming and puzzles feels perfect, especially for such a focused package.

I do wish the boss fight was a bit longer, and maybe a bit more difficult. plus, I think it would've been cool if there were more opportunities for Ophelia to get her hands dirty; as it stands, Agnes does most of the work (which does fit the narrative), but it'd be cool if there were moments requiring Ophelia's magic, in the same way some sections requires Agnes' invulnerability. if this does get expanded into a full game, that'd be something to focus on.

I also preferred the painterly look of the cutscene images to the crisper, digital look of the gameplay assets. I think the visuals could benefit from that added texture, but that's largely a matter of preference.

the short length and well-utilized mechanics lend make this game quite fun, even on repeat playthroughs. all in all, its a good time.

Great game!!

I tried to complete the platforming section with the two girls as intended, and the jumping moments were truly challenging. If I understood correctly, you had to switch from the zombie to the witch mid-jump to allow her to reach the higher platform?

I'm not sure if it was a bug, but right after being revived, the zombie girl jumped much lower than usual.

Sadly the witch couldn't be used at all during the boss attack. No matter how hard I tried, no damage was dealt.

This was well put together: the music, art, and mechanics! I enjoyed the intro cinematic, the story premise is very endearing!

I would be interested in seeing this expanded upon and trying out more game play involving Ophelia. It might be cool to see different routing for the characters, since one character had to catch up to the other character quite a bit.

Thank you for the feedback. I intend to fix the "problem" you reported regarding the spoilers in a future update. ;)

Great game I played just the zombie for most of the level and I found the boss challenging but not too hard

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. The idea is for it to be a simple game for the game jam, but I plan to make adjustments to the difficulty balance in a future update.

Although this is a great game there were a few fricative moments. The boss was too easy. The section right before the boss I went through twice, once with each girl, not realizing I was supposed to carry the witch on the zombie's head. Just having points where one girl is called to the other so I don't have to complete certain parts twice, the introduction to the disappearing blocks. These are small nitpicks, but they could become annoying if the game was longer.

Developer

Thank you very much for the feedback. The idea is for it to be a puzzle platformer where both characters are necessary, and, since the game jam deadline was short, only a few simple challenges were included.
