This was the game made during SoloDevelopment 72-hour Jam #9: Halloween.
I decided to continue the project, add polish, and new scenarios. It can be found here (free and also runs on a browser): https://lazyanttu.itch.io/threat-the-unknown-enemy
Very interesting game. I like the text based nature, very early 90s. It would be cool as a terminal game. Good theme interpretation as well. Good job!
Great game! I spent 10 min but its not my type game but i like the story.
I spend some time with this game and will come back to discover more horrors. Great game!
I would start writing this stuff down, but I'm worried that if I do, I might lose my mind like so many genre protagonists do when they investigate the occult. Very impressive writing & ui!
Took me a while to figure out, played this for a good hour, failed 3 times before succeeding once. I might play some more later. Needless to say, it's a good game.
Thanks for playing!
Which one did you get?
the La Llorona, I almost got headless horseman before that, but I think I mixed up the ward locations
I love games like these. Simulacra, Scrutinized. and Welcome to the Game are some of my favorite games cause of the way they utilize browsing a device to discover clues and such and this reminded me a lot of that. I'd love to see ya expand this into a full game.
Thanks for playing & the feedback!
What features/content do you think a full game would need?
Such a fantastic experience. I really hope you develop this further in the future!
Thanks for playing, and thanks for the feedback!
In which direction do you think this could be developed further?
I'm not really sure. I guess i just really liked this game and want to see it succeed!
This is really great, definitely a lot of reading but not in a bad way, I like the premise a lot, and it was really engaging, scratched that RTS/4K part of the brain. Also amazing job with the UI it felt very genuine.
Thanks for the feedback. I was a little worried that the game might be too difficult, heavy, or hard to get into for a jam game scope. It actually needed to present a lot to work.
What aspects of the UI did you like?
Very well done. I would have liked a note function where you can write down you theories. Great game
Thanks for the feedback. Now that you said it, it's so obvious it should have had a note-taking feature. I would have had even time to implement it.
Thanks for playing my game!
You can always add it after the jam. Not having it doesn't take away from the game it would only just add to it.
