This is a fun little game. The different anime voices for the MC made me laugh, I was not expecting it.

Hey, people have already talked about the difficulty so I dont need to go too far into that. Other than that though I found the platforming really smooth. I like that you had a full start and settings menu. And I think I found a bug that doesnt allow me to switch when im in the air? I dont know if that was intended or not.

I actually really like the idea of keeping the static of the tvs at before before they consume you. I can definitely see this expanded into a bigger horror game one day. Nice work!

Thanks so much for your long review. I really appreciate you taking the time to give me some good critique!!!

Thank you so much for your review, I appreciate it greatly!

Thanks for the review. And the flowers are just there for decoration.

Yeah, the whole UI issue is on me. UI has always been something I fall back on when it comes to introducing game functionality, which is a habit I need to break. The shifting button definitely could’ve just been mapped to the spacebar, and the restart button probably didn’t need to be there at all as it was only a debug command for me to fix a bug i fixed before releasing the game.

As for the lack of SFX and the parts where the player goes off-screen, those were actually intentional design choices meant to set the game’s atmosphere. I mentioned it in the description, but it’s easy to miss. I wanted the world to feel a bit eerie and isolated: where the only sounds are ambient noises and music. Adding pickup sounds felt like it would pull the player out of that mood.

The off-screen parts work the same way. It’s a subtle psychological effect. It makes the world feel uncertain and eerie. It also (accidentally) added a touch of difficulty to those jumps, not that much just a little, which I ended up liking.

Thank you so much for your review!

Thanks so much for your review. I really appreciate your kind words :)

Thanks so much for your review. And yeah it is a bit difficult to pass the final boss but its possible. You need to be Big and dodge 3 of his ball attacks. Then he will fly up for a few seconds where you can turn small and run under him. There is also a way to completely skip the boss fight entirely. Its a little easter egg that no one has yet to find so I wonder if ya can. :)

Thank you so much for your feedback and review. This is actually the first platformer I have ever made so I wasnt aware of things like variable jump heigh and coyote frames so I didnt have them in my game but they will definitely be in the next platformer I make. Thanks again!

Ok you got me. I went ahead and download your game and it was pretty fun, even though im not very good with platformers. I like the whole mechanic of being able to spawn your own platforms but having a limited number to solve the puzzles. Which speaking of, the puzzles in the levels were really well done and had a nice difficulty curve. My only real critique would probably be the minimalism which I assume is what you were going for but I think it is a bit too much. There's a lot of empty space in the levels and I dont know what could be added but itd be nice if something filled that empty space.

TYSM for your review. I am always happy to hear that my artwork is liked.

TYSM for your review. Im glad to see that you enjoyed my game.

I felt like the game was too short though to justify having respawn points. Its about a minute of gameplay, maybe less, if you do everything right. I do really appreciate that you liked the art and animations. :)

This is an interesting game. There are a few bugs though like you can spam "Pick a Card" and you will get like 50 cards.

This is a nice little game. I wanna ask why you used actual pictures for the games graphics and not pixel graphics?

The game isnt starting for me? Im just stuck on the intro screen. Im on pc web browser if that helps?

Cool game with lots of room for expansion. I dont know if this was intentional or not but the enemies were not moving for me. Im assuming at least that the enemies were the red dots that damage the player.

Really cool game with a nice retro art style and music.

The game isnt opening for me for some reason. The first time it opened but i was stuck on the starting screen and couldnt press start or quit. And the next two times it stuck me on a blank gray screen with no words or buttons?

Your game is very funny. I like the flipping mechanic a lot.

This is a fun game. My only critism is that the gameplay is lackluster. You shoudl add more ghost types, more artifacts, ect...

First thing i wanna point out is how good the graphics are. The old tv screen effect with the RGB pixels and static cycle is SO GOOD. How did you do that, its amazing. There were a few areas where i wasnt clear on what i was supposed to do but overall a really cool game!

This is a cool game. You dedication to the theme is amazing and it really makes this game so unique. The mechanic of the levels shifting based on what color your snake head is is really creative. Well done!

This is really good. I like the idea of flipping between the masks, one for healing and one for fighting. My only critiques would be that the player should be of equal speed to the enemies or slightly faster. mainly cause being outrun by the enemies is super frustrating in the early parts of the game before you have a chance to level up movement speed. Other things i noticed is the upgrades are difficult to manage as im shooting at things then the upgrade pops up on screen and i accidently press something cause i was clicking to shoot. So changing the shooting key to some other like RMB would be helpful. But other than that, good submission. I really enjoyed it.

Dang i got it wrong on my first try. The yellow girl claimed that the yellow girl was possessed and I was like "Wait a second" and picked her but i was wrong. Overall a cool game and cool concept. Id definitely love to see this one expanded post jam!

Your game is really nice and its amazing that you were able to make this in 72 hours. The shaders. the graphics, the story, it is all amazing. Of course, I do have a few things to point out though. First thing being the section where you are just an arm. The arm moves really slow and it causes that section of the game, while brief, to drag on for a long time. I got stuck with the press e prompt with the lever cause i flipped the lever and nothing happened so i spent a good 5 minutes as the arm crawling back and forth trying to figure out what to do before i pressed tab again where the heart was and i was suddenly teleported and became a leg and torso. Don't know what I did wrong but that was weird. I also would've like a guide for the game on how to complete it as I got stuck on many parts and eventually had to quit cause it was becoming too demanding on my bad pc. Overall though, a really good game and i am really impressed at how well it tuned out given the theme and time limit!

TYSM for your kind words about my game. I honestly didn't even really think that much of the shrinking mechanic when i was making it but everyone loves it and i guess i can understand why... the little stick figure is pretty cute

TYSM for playing my game on stream. And yeah i agree that i totally could have made shifting just be the spacebar. And the reset level button 100% could have been removed. Both cleaning up the UI. I only had the reset level button there because a game breaking bug occurred right before i uploaded the game that caused the player the stick into the ground and get stuck so i added the button so the player could reset the level and get unstuck but i fixed that bug before posting the game but never removed the button. My bad. I've also never played with controller so that didnt even cross my mind to add support for it but i will definitely look into it for the next game i make. But once again, thank you so much for playing my game and giving me good feedback on it! :>

Tysm. I love hearing that my artwork is like. The music, while not mine, is nice and really sells the atmosphere. It is actually two tracks that i stacked on top of eachother. One is the drums and the other is the ambient noises.

I found the bug that causes inverted controls and superspeed and it is pretty funny. Overall an interesting game. I like the switching between realities and the detail of the steps changing. Reminded me a lot of Fran Bow if you've ver played that.

An interesting game that does an effective job of creating a creepy atmosphere. I especially loved the little sections where you have to cut open a present or find freedom. But your game is dragged down by that thing that pops up on screen.

I did read the reviews on the game before i played so i lowered my volume but that blaring sound is just way too loud even for that. Id remove that entirely next time if i were you.

This is a fun little game. I like the art style a lot. Though i do gotta dock ya points on a few things ago. I dont know if this is intentional but the main character was shooting out of his fingers. At some points i could walk straight up to the enemies and they wouldnt notice me. And an "out of ammo" prompt or a gun clicking sound would be nice cause there will several instances where i was out of ammo and didnt realize.

I know that she was gonna kill me if i kept doing it but i kept purposefully choosing the wrong answers cause its funny to see her reaction lol. anyways this is a cute short game that i can definitely see be expanded into something greater. Good work!

I love these kinds of games and if you expand this post jam, I will definitely play it again. However for now, I do gotta give ya some criticism. The main one being that my ears are bleeding. The old computer sounds are great but without a sound volume slider, they are super loud and i had to mute the game.

Hey cool game idea and story that I could definitely see expanded into something bigger. If i have to critique ya on something though, its gotta be the polish of your game. There are many things in your game that could be improved by just a few extra minutes of effort but make all the difference. Things like broken hitboxes, ui improvements, a gun that the player is shooting from instead of bullets emerging from their chest, i got soft locked in one of my playthroughs. But overall a game with a lot of potential and room for expansion! Good work!

Thank you so much for your review. Im so glad you enjoyed the overall vibe i was going for. I was worried people would be put off on the simplicity of it.
