It requires a good amount of skill but I played a lot of nightreign the past 2 months so was prepared :D
Love the pixelart it looks really cool. The different eerie/spooky musictracks added to the whole atmoshpere

My only complaint is that everything was very tiny on my screen. I suppose thats not part of the challenge.
So i hope this helps:
Changing the fullscreen button checkbox in itch is still possible even in the lockphase, so you could still do that if you want.
After the jam you could set mode to canvas_items in the projectsettings so the game always stretches to the window dimensions while keeping its aspect ratio.

Once I got used to the controls (it felt weird not being WASD) they felt good. I did feel both too slow but also imprecise with movement making it so that half the time I couldn’t be where I wanted to be and the rest of the time I could only trade hits. Would also be nice if there was some indication of currency and how I got it because i would just have to randomly see if i could upgrade each time.
Cool game! I loved the snappy controls. Sliding pumping boss looked sick!

Too hard for me - but I am not good at these type of games. I loved the art and the vibe... nice game!
The spritework and music are nicely done! The gameplay is also fun and engaging, but also to me frustratingly hard. I think the movement speed and dashing distance could be tweaked because the enemies and projectile move pretty fast so it's really hard to dodge them. The fact that you cannot control in which direction you attack also means that you could potentially knock the enemies into yourself.
This one was challenging, and I really liked it! Your atmosphere is also amazing, great work on that :)
Found this quite hard, but a cool idea! I really liked getting stronger each time you lose
Awesome music and environment! Made the game feel really cool. I struggled a lot with the first boss (and I don't think I made it to the second). I wasn't sure I was actually doing damage to the witch at all, and I wasn't sure if the things falling from the sky were enemies or power-ups. Maybe the test of mechanical skill was a little *too* testing?
