The planet’s expression is a work of art. I love it.

Thank you :)

Amazing use of the special object. However, I could just dot little dots around earth and I would become practically invincible. Great game nontheless

Developer

Yup, lol. I think everyone who played this found that strat. Glad you enjoyed it thou :)

I'm not sure how difficult it was to implement, but speaking purely as an outside observer, the tech for being able to draw/erase a finite amount of pixels on the screen seems like a really impressive feat to achieve within the timeframe of the jam. Like, it's really neat how if you use all your pixels and then erase like 4 of them, it only gives back 4 pixels you can draw in.

Thank you for checking my game out! Admittedly the reason I was able to implement the drawing was because I focused purely on making it reality and put aside optimisations, so while it works, the resolution and hence the number of pixels you could draw was reduced heavily otherwise the game would brick up. So if I were to try again someday, I would defo approach it differently. :D

I love the idea behind it. I think if, instead of just dots, you could have painted other things that have different effects, it would be more interesting for the player.

Developer

Yeah,  in it's current state its not that interesting as you can just cheese the game by dotting the drawing around the earth and then you don't have to do anything, as some other players have pointed out.  I agree that something should be added or changed, but I'm not too sure what you're suggesting. Do you mean like different inks or shapes of the brush?

Cute game!

Wondering if it would actually be enough to surround Earth with tiny shielding satellites haha

Developer

Thank you!

Very fun game! Well done :)

The planet's so cuteee. We had to make a strat at first but we got the hang of it pretty quickly! Nice job!!

Developer

thank you : )

Nice concept. Can serve as the basis of a bigger project

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I was thinking of adding aliens at some point that would act differently to the meteors. Just depends if I have the energy for it lol.

Nice game! I like it when the earth goes kaboom :)

You could make the meteorites faster, or make the ink shatter and disappear whenever it blocks a meteorite.

And yeah, implementing a drawing mechanic on different resolutions is a pain, I feel you :')

Developer

Thanks for playing!

The gameplay loop def could be improved. And although I managed to have complete control over the resolution of the drawing, I reduced it down significantly out of fear my game would brick up (I used a sloppy approach to generate collision shapes) :)

You can just surround the planet with points with one click and do nothing)

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I didn't have much time to playtest lol. :)

Cool idea! Nice job! Still need to be worked on, as there is not much of gameplay. Hope you will continue to work on it!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Admittedly procrastination hit hard so I only had time to add the gameplay mechanics and not, as you said, actual gameplay.
