I had some problems dodging the bats in the lower lane. A bit more variety in the levels would be welcome. Nice intro :D I wouldn't show the tutorial on every level. Maybe show tutorial with TAB and add this to the tutorial?

Fun little runner!

the intro was a nice touch even though i didn't exactly get what happened to the first skeletons

very fun and well thought out, the intro was a great addition i had a lot of fun with this game, more level design to have some variation amongst different levels could've been. but over all great work :)

I really liked the little opening cutscene — it was so cute, and the story came across perfectly without a single word! XD

One suggestion: it would be great if turning the reaper felt a bit snappier. For example, when facing east, a single press of the A (south) button could instantly turn the reaper south, instead of needing a longer press. Since there are lots of quick turnarounds in the game, this small tweak could make movement feel smoother!

Short and fun experience! - would like the game even more if the lantern was a beam you can channel - so doing damage each seconds while holding the key/mouse - instead of spam clicking with a cooldown

Thanks for playing it!
Ah, gotcha, that's my bad with explaining controls. You can hold it and the Skeleton only gets damaged every second, but I didn't make it clear with controls or visual feedback. Next time ;)

Nice job on your game! The lantern mechanic was really fun to use. I also like a good cutscene. This is one of the only games I've seen in the jam use a cutscene so nice job. I found the controls to be easy to learn which is a plus in a game jam. Overall great game!

Very creative use of the assets and the theme! Really enjoyed the skeleton soap opera drama on TV. Very creative. Great sound effects. I really liked the candy eating sounds. Gameplay was pretty straightforward.

I wish there were gamepad controls. I really hate using the keyboard and mouse. It was also unclear to me what my target goal for eating candy to regain health was.

Solid entry overall!

First game I've played this jam with a proper cut scene. Very cute idea!
