Notes from session 11
- exploring the reception room leads to… fuck all really
- I was extremely overt about “bioressonance disease” really being “Über radiation poisoning”, didn’t work.
- oh god a lot of the People here had illnesses disease.
- at this point it’d be impossible to hide *the thing but luckily none of these people have played signalis so I’m in the clear
- they found grievance paperwork.
- they find a card printer
- turns out, the commander was the first to get infected, and it spread down through the command structure (except the administrator. HMMMMMMMMM)
- oh hey, Eddie and Defect are here now. Fucking SOMEHOW.
- the waiting room is quite peaceful. Gee, I wonder why this MEDICAL FLOOR has a WAITING ROOM.
- as a joke Eve splashes some water from the plants on the key card interface and it works for exactly ten seconds and then locks again. Funny attempt.
- Eve gets her first kill! On a corrupted Star no less! Great work.
- joke about “pipe room” and “pump room” sounding like the names of a strip club. Anyway, they’re locked.
- “this bathroom is fine- HOLY SHIT GALF TO FLOOR IS FUCKING GONE” also there’s another dead Arar with invasive plants (which is just a theme I guess. The plant this time is Kudzu fyi)
- ok north wing time
- let’s go to the morgue, it’s what Lilith would’ve wanted. No cannibalism though.
- first new enemy in a while!! The corrupted Arar!
- finding a note that tells us what we already knew, destroy the bodies.
- note to literally anyone who is looking to do puzzles in a campaign. FUCKING PLAY-TEST THEM. I forgot to with this one and as such, it was a mess trying to help these three to work the incinerator. The did get the fire key though!
- they found Easter-egg character “Mr bones” and immediately threw him in the incinerator.
- Lilith’s ghost makes its presence known to Eve only. She has a lot of ghosts around her, huh?
- the party ends the session in the imaging room.
*right so, as the observant of you may or may not have noticed by this point, the map of this campaign is a modified version of the maps from the original Signalis, with a healthy smattering of original locations through the doors of horror as well as the .5 episodes being entirely disconnected, point is, this was the session where this became the most obvious, and since it was clear this story has been quite derivative from the start, but since at the very least I know Bird’s player handler has seen one or more play-throughs of Signalis, I was genuinely kinda expecting him to point that out. For my sake, I’m bring this up here because I know that a certain incorporeal vulture sometimes reads these notes, so for my sake, don’t tell the others.
Either way, this session went incredibly well all things considered, everyone was tired as hell though except Bird’s Operator, who was as bright and confused as he always is
See you next week!
