the style is cool, and this mechanic is really fun. it adds a challenge and is hella satisfying when i get the timing just right
i also liked the music and sfx, sets the tone just right
i enjoyed playing this

death is an opportunity, to parry the death right back!

I always loved parray mechanics in video games so it was super cool to see a game built around only using the parry! Focusing on each parry put me in a rhythm game trance lol. Great job!

Fairly simple premises and controls. It does become a little difficult to deal with multiple enemies. when they seem to have the same movement speed and when they occupy the same space.

Very interesting mechanic! Could be paired with roguelike elements to make a very interesting game! Also I really like the vibe and art :]

Its funny you mention it, I was considering adding roguelike elements and extraction-shooter-esque item extraction and making it a full game.

I love your concept of only being able to parry. Maybe take it a step further and make everything the main character does just be some form of parry. Opening doors. Interacting with objects.. would be very funny. The parry timings were unforgivingly short which gave the skull bats in particular a sinister aura. And maybe more interaction with death than just that final low hp boost, I barely got to make use of it because I only got one chance every life. Nonetheless wonderful game!

the Death enemies are hard, they take 3 hits and they give alot of damage, but I still had fun timing my clicks to parry their attacks, only got to level 7, also the music would stack on top of each other when you restart so I had to refresh the page

Thanks, for letting me me know, should be easy enough to fix.
