a really fun game with a great use of the theme, I absolutely loved the art style but really think the game would of benefited massively from some sound!
In the end i only had a really small amount of time to add audio , so I instead decided to make my Itch.io website work - so that I could actually submit the game in time
Very fun! I cannot for the life of me get past the third level, but I like the aesthetic and the fact that the traps are hidden.
which bit of the level did you find challenging? I might be able to help :)
After I activate the switch to open the gate, I frequently catapult right into the first row of spikes and struggle to clear them. Upon clearing them once, I died from the next obstacle.
if you are talking about the spikes on the floor then I would recommend jumping from as close to the edge as possible - a run up will also help lots. The next spike after that moves to the left so I would just try to bait that trap out
This is cute, I'm not a fan of these types of games but I can appreciate that you've made a good one, I played just enough that it was still funny dying to random traps and it was fun trying to predict where the traps would come from before they activated. The art is also cute and I'm sure the sounds will make it even better when you get to add them, nice job ^^

This is trolling. A bit too much for me. I wish the trolls you could SEE before they happened. Fun, but I'm bad at video games, and I cant tell sarcasm. Good job, though =)
I wanted to emphasise 'watch out for traps'. But I'll keep in mind to make some easier levels too - once I continue developing the game
Yeah, an idea is a way to CHECK for traps. As of now, you just have to react, but if you could stand still for like 3 seconds, and it could flash the 'warning areas', I think that could keep the difficulty, while making it feel more fair.
If this game Is meant to be trolling, then this is fine the way it is. But if you want a slightly broader appeal, then i'd recommend something like that.

That does sound like a great idea! The games original purpose was to be a troll game but perhaps an 'easy mode' with your 'warning areas' idea might not be a bad idea! I do want the game to feel fair - even when it might not look fair

Yea I didn't want to risk running out of time, I had like 10 mins spare for SFX but I instead used that time to setup the Itch.io page

Sadly the last trap doesn't activate - I've already fixed it but I'll have to wait for the Jam to be over in order to post the fix
