Hey! Sorry I am writing this super late after you made this log. I've interacted some with your Allamein Arcade and your CharaQuest game that you submitted to the pizza jam last year. I'm a huge fan, and I love your passion and I think you have a lot of potential!

Regarding your question, a big part of getting people to care about your game is by engaging with the community and posting information online. Maybe talk about it on discussion boards or group chats. Recommend it to your friends. Engage with other people's games. A very important part of sharing art is being in open discussion with other people.

Something else you can do is collaboration! Maybe find some other programming friends who would be interested in making music or graphics or something for your games. This can be incredibly rewarding and helps create bonds, and allows for your game to have more variety coming from multiple people's voices. That being said, I understand how a passion project can feel deeply personal, and you might want to do it yourself. That's good too!

Something else is to ask for and take critique. This can be difficult and scary, but every artist does need feedback. The important part is learning to recognize valuable advice about how to improve your work, while still remaining true to your own expression. Practice asking for specific critique: maybe ask someone something like, "hey, I feel like the mechanics of one of my games could use some flare. Do you have any ideas?" or, "Hey, is there a way I can convey the story/character/mechanics more clearly?" or, "How should I order these levels to ease someone into my game?" I'm not saying these necessarily apply to you, but they are useful and specific questions that can help for sure!

Something to be aware of is that it is really hard to gain a following on the internet, no matter in what field it is. There is so much content that people get lost. It can feel scary and lonely and confusing, and it can take a long long time to gain traction. BUT!!! Do not let this deter you! Create because it is fulfilling to create. I think it's awesome that you've made this project, even if not a lot of people have seen it. Your dedication and passion show through, and that's huge.

I wish you well on this journey! :D

I thought these were cool and unique! I had a lot of fun with them. Some of them were confusing to play. Do you have any instructions?

Thank you for making it! Actually replaying it right now, it's pretty fun!

This game seemed really cute, but unfortunately the mouse sensitivity made it impossible for me to play. I can't even approach the first ghost I see because the camera catapults me around, and whenever I move it will have me facing the ground in the opposite direction. TBH these technical difficulties may be attributed to my use of a trackpad and having low RAM. If you have any advice on how to get around this, or come out with a patch with a lower sensitivity, I would love to play it!!!

Hi! I thought this game was really unique and a fun take on the watch out for traps prompt. One critique I have is that there are too many moving parts immediately. It would be good to start with smaller game boards with one npc, and then work up to two, four, etc. as the player gains an understanding of the game

I think my girlfriend glitched when she tried k-dashing into the cave and ended up getting stuck on the corner of the first level after the two npcs, and then after some random button spams got sent to the Infinite Void

omg thank you so much! I love the terms!

I really wanna beat this game at some point. It's simple, but really fun, and I like the thought you put into it

Yeah I definitely need to adjust the spikes, I've gotten other critiques about it. But I'm glad you liked it!

After I activate the switch to open the gate, I frequently catapult right into the first row of spikes and struggle to clear them. Upon clearing them once, I died from the next obstacle.

Very fun! I cannot for the life of me get past the third level, but I like the aesthetic and the fact that the traps are hidden.

Loved the aesthetic and the premise!

Something that was a bit difficult for me what the jump control being z/c while also having x be dash. Having those two buttons next to each other confused my motor skills a bit.

Okay I got it to work!

very cute and fun!

Hey! Love the game so much!

I noticed that some of the text is not alternatively colored, making it hard to know how to progress

Would love to see a full release!

This is easy mode??????

Really funny, had a lot of fun jumping on things and throwing hamburger buns at this guy. Did lose my job, but it was worth it

I liked it! I think the progression could have been a bit more incremental. They felt overpowered and unearned, and I was able to buy everything after a few rounds, especially with the merchants. Besides that, love the aesthetic!

Heck yeah cannibal mushroom!

Ending made me laugh a lot

I identify with the agaric

Game play was soothing and good aesthetic

Dude this itches my linguistics-obsessed brain and is super silly and fun

This would be addicting to speedrun

Cool game! I think you could have the car waves come more frequently

omg so cool!

I can't get past the tutorial/start page... how get past tutorial/start page? Z button stop working, enter button only menu, click and space not work either...

Very satisfying, loved the song at the end!! One issue I had is that the camera kept drifting downwards at a constant rate, and I would keep having to correct it. I did use that to dig with more ease since it would just bring blocks into the target range, but it was mildly frustrating.

I like this game! It was really cool and unique! I did struggle with the fact that the orders covered the tablecloth, and there were some glitches where the cards would not stack properly, especially when trying to submit the meal to the order up card

I like this game! Very cute!

There was a lot of complexity that was hard to keep track of. Perhaps starting incrementally and working up, and having a more organized spawn table? I also couldn't figure out what attributes there were besides color.

Very cute and I liked the vibes!

Very entertaining!

Epic grind, bro

Omg! I had a similar idea for my game, but I think your execution was more polished. You showed a lot of skill in graphics and level design and mechanics. It's really cool to see how someone else would make a similar game and the ways that I can improve.

Horrifying and unique!

I liked that collecting jumps was a mechanic, felt very unique!

So peace! So swan! Tranquility vanquished! :D

This was really cute!

This game is AWESOME and I know it stands so well as a self contained story, but if you have more ideas PLEASE DO A FULL RELEASE omg best game

I love the worldbuilding and the environmental storytelling and the writing and the visual aesthetic

Having the same problem, and now I can't delete it even

It was cute! Would appreciate some instructions, not sure if the penguins are supposed to be able to shoot, but I couldn't figure it out. I did get the robots to shoot at the cages a little

So cute I love it

I like the game! Was a bit confused by the random speed changes, and the purpose of some of the pickups (i.e. the star just makes everything glow? Why?), and what the purpose of the stationary white square was. I think adding a meter showing hp would have also been good. Besides that, I liked the gameplay and how the player had to sacrifice bullet efficacy when moving.
