Amazing amount of content for the amount of time allotted! The art is amazing as well.

Unfortunately, I did have some trouble following along and understanding everything. It's very clear that the lore/world building is very in-depth and complex. I think part of the issue is that the player doesn't really know any of it, and is just dropped in the middle of everything. I'm curious, was all the world building/lore/story/characters all created during the jam period, or is it based off of previously made lore? If it's the former, that's even more impressive! Also, I'm not sure what I was supposed to do to choose one of the characters. I tried talking to each one of the options, and I tried talking to one person over and over, but I wasn't given the option to choose anyone. Did I miss something?

Otherwise, great job for having been done in a week! It's great to see more story-rich games! Although, mine isn't nearly as story-based as this.

The setting etc. is all wholly original for the jam, and the intent was to let the player pick apart the world details in media res and between the different character routes. It's a mixed success largely dependent on the routes players take. In previous jams I've been bitten by too much preamble putting players off so I wanted to hit the ground running here.

"Picking" a character is based on the influence they gain. This is notated for the night-time events but is obscured for the daytime events. Having had some time to sit on this I would have probably gone through and put [+1 Influence] notations in for these. Generally talking with a character each day and making smart decisions will secure them the leadership seat.

I'm always hesitant to blend crunchy games and more freeform narrative stuff.

Really impressive that you managed to put together all those story details during the jam! I know how tough it is to come up with a story with fleshed out world building in a short amount of time.  So amazing work on that end!

It’s always a tricky balance between pulling the player/reader straight into the action and making sure they actually understand how the world works through exposition. And trying to juggle that in such a short window is even harder. Despite the things I pointed out, it's still a very impressive job!
