How does the game fit the theme?
Game requires the player to run around the map getting biscuit ingredients. If the player heals or dies, the enemies spawn rate increases, therefore making every run a risk.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I made all the art pieces except the end game photo, and the Audio is all free itch assets (credit is in the game description)

For a first run this is very good. I had a lot of fun with it - Hope to see what comes of your dev journey!
Nice game, did get into some weird bugs. The main menu didn't cover the full screen for me and it lagged a lot the first time I went out, thought it was stuck.
Weapons feel great to shoot, I like killing monsters, well sized experience for a game jam. Complete success! Doing everything with one person is impressive. Nice work!
Very nice!
One small suggestion: when displaying the amount of ammos, change it to 999+ if you go above that amount, to avoid weird formatting!
love top down shooters!! A bit harder and some enemies that shoot things would be nice too
Visual effects is quite good and the input to the character feels snappy. Some of the enemies could be scaled up as well as the pickups, other than that quite good
Overall I enjoyed the game but I personally have a few things that i think could improve the game. First, increasing the spawn rate after death doesn't feel great and punishes the player for not being good at a game that they just started playing, especially if there not used to this genre of game. Second, making the UI bigger or adding some visual or audio signal for when a specific weapon is out of ammo could help since at first I thought my weapons weren't working but it was just because I had no ammo. Lastly, adding some sort of telegraph when the enemies are going to attack and adding a small cooldown could help since if to many spawn and crowd around you, you just die since you can't escape, you could also try implementing a dash with a cooldown to resolve this. Still, this is great job for your first game jam!
also, if you wouldn't mind and haven't already, you could rate my game Bomb Squad and give me some feedback.

granny could get it
Items could spawn based on the existing ones. I played quite a long time just for a single item. Other than that, it was fun!
Some more audio would be nice to other things. Also the audio could be little better balanced because the enemies are way too loud. Still gj!
THIS IS PEAK SOUND DESIGN!!! IAM JUMPING ALL TIME WHEN THE ENEMIES COME!!! It's silly, annoying, disturbing, but it's working pretty good!!! IMO you can work more on the UI and visuals (even it's terryfing as if haha) great game!
Nice game! I got jumpscared the first time I heard the monsters running towards me. Also, what was the spawn rate for the sugar, because I could not find any at all? T-T I was stuck at one sugar for ages.
I think it would be better if the game had some background music, so players could adjust the volume properly. At first, I thought the game had no sound, so I set my volume to maximum and got a bit startled when I heard the monster scream :D. Overall, really nice work, I enjoyed it
Genuinely almost gave me a heart attack with that first scream, terrifying. Other than that, it was pretty funny, and both guns felt satisfying to use. I kept getting lost and not being able to find the house while being endlessly chased screeched at lol, definitely nailed the horrifying aspect. The only issue I noticed was that the UI didn't seem to position/scale itself properly when embedded, but the full screen looked fine. Overall, really great job!
The arm is funny lol. Great game, congrats!
This was a super fun game! I loved the art, the glow/light around significant items, and the super easy/quick-to-learn controls! It felt great, the SFX were cool, and the visuals were fantastic! Great submission!
Thanks for the cookies grandma, I will treasure these forever. I fought off all those spooky creatures to get the ingredients and it was very worth. Good game - is fun
