incredible game

nice game

How did y'all get so much content done in such a short time and have it feel polished? I had a lot of fun playing the game but got really confused on navigating the difference scenes using wasd.

Cool game for a new developer. Keep going at it.

Here is our cat grappling game

Nice game really enjoyed the gameplay concept.

The concept the game is really cool, it's a different take on the normal candy crush style of games but adds that twist of playing within your time limit of the bomb and then take it out at the last second for the most points.

Enjoyable game, and with the addition of the leaderboard feature, it levels it up.

Super Solid game, I'm not too good at Minesweeper, but the game with the addition of the leaderboard feature is really cool. I wish I could create a leaderboard feature like yours and implement it into mine. Its super clean and straight to the point.

Cool game, had fun while playing it and yeh, it is pretty difficult.

Couldn't seem to beat the hand of creation but maybe i'm just not that good at bullet hells. Great game over all, movement felt nice and snappy but also controllable.

Just rated, nice game.

Nice game, once I got a hold of the concept, I was making bank.

Clean game, easy to play.

Nice and simple to understand game, could totally built upon further and possible made into a full release.

Very Cool, roulette-style game.

Maybe I shouldn't go to the casino, but when I did win, though, it felt great. Probably shouldn't bring this to an actual casino.

My team was not expecting this game request, but we will continue to review them all. We've found some games that are really good, though, and hope to see more.

Cool game, the mouse is cute.

Nice and simple game. It would have been great to add a timer when going back to the hole, so that when you do grab the last letter, you are prepared to book it back to the hole.

I’m glad it got the intended reaction out of you. Thanks for the acknowledgment of the theme being weaker than the rest of the game. The two of us didn’t have much art skills doing this game so we couldn’t deliver as well on the ambience and visual of a theme so we might look into getting an actual artist on the team to fill in that gap so we can feel confident in developing a better game identity. Thanks for the feedback

thanks!

haha, the game did its job

What a polished game, the art was amazing, the platforming mechanic felt great, and the level design was interesting. There are so many good things I can say about this game. I don't understand how only 10 people have rated this game before me.

amazing game was a pleasure to play

I really had to stop myself from doing every task and booking it out of the office. I got caught several times, but I  ran circles around the guard and got away. Amazing game, super cleanly made, just a great experience.

Fun Game had me retrying it because I would miss a jump and just barely miss the cookie

I liked how fast-paced the game was; you would go from one cookie to the next and so on. There wasn't much time to take a breather, so it felt so much more gratifying once you completed a stage. The feel and gameplay loop are great.

Short, sweet, and simple.

Sweet, short, and simple, the game tutorial was great, showing me what I was getting into and the possible choices I could take. It would be cool, though, if I were able to attack based on the direction of my mouse.

Amazing time! The 12:34, I set up as a starting time, was my first run through of the game, so I knew there was a lot of time to save, but 4 minutes is quite incredible. That being said, I did get on a sub-3-minute pace but bottled it on the final platform in the blue section. It was tragic, but that's how speedrunning these types of games goes. I like how you point out the puzzle of understanding what to do with your skill set. We had some playtesters go through the sections, and some found the path quicker than others. When they did, it was amazing to see their reactions. Especially the green section, it's very short but packed with high momentum swings and tight tolerances.
Also, lucky for you, if you do want to continue playing this game, we might be continuing it to create a DLC for a not-so-nice Steam release, where all the safety nets we put into the game jam, as well as the lack of super crazy movement, will be stripped away.

We utilized the built-in Unity bounciness physics and had to tune it extensively to achieve the desired balance between gravity and fall, ensuring that the character didn't bounce too far. This was to prevent the bounce from feeling floaty and too fast, which would make the bounce feel unrewarding. It was a tight balance.

Haha, infuriating it is, what would you expect from a rage game. I did think about giving the rope animations, even trying to make the rope fully physics-based for a time, but making it a simple line just made the gameplay feel consistent and predictable. A visual change, though, would be nice.

Thanks, I've never heard of Bionic Commando before.

Gotta love ragebait cat

Thanks; we really like how the goofy yet straightforward art style turned out. We also ensured that the controls were simplified and minimal so that the player can focus on maximizing what they have at their disposal as well.

It would be great if you could grapple into our game.

Grapple Cat by Bearkn, DangJames

I need an honest review of what you are feeling when playing our game. Hint: it's a rage game

Grapple Cat by Bearkn, DangJames

Thanks, hopefully it wasn't too challenging for you, but then again, where's the fun when there isn't a big fall looming under every grapple?

Thank you for the kind words. It's unbelievable that my team was able to make anything feel polished, considering we picked up Unity again the day of the game jam's start and had no idea how even to use the engine.
