Nibbles uses Kagebunshin technique! Very effective! We might have to pass labour laws for cat workers in the future. I worked Nibbles to the bone (Sorry!)

The visuals are just ( ´ ꒳ ` ) ♡

Nibbles is so cute! I feel bad having to sit back while the Nibbleses do all the work.

Gameplay was (・_・;)

Maybe Nibbles can have a tiny thought bubble to indicate what task she's doing when she's idle. Different Nibbles could also have different coloured bibs to differentiate them.

I played full 10 minutes before I learned I had to sell the cookies in the shop menu. I was trying to get my cookie output to 100 / min thinking that was the goal ( : ౦ ‸ ౦ : )

I am super impressed! This is enjoyable and well-polished for a game developed in just a week. Kudos to you both!

Psst.. I don't mind house-sitting again if I get to play with Nibbles (´。• ω •。`) ♡

thanks for the feeback pang! Yeah different colored bibs / different cat designs was racing through my head the whole time I was making the game

Because I drew every sprite individually, the only way I could think of making different colours was redrawing every single frame of animation (yikes) or using a colour LUT with a shader, which I did try at one point but it looked pretty meh.

Sorry there was no obvious sign pointing you to the shop window! Ahaha also when you highlight each cat there is a little icon telling you their current task :3

We made a lot of choice to try to keep it a little hectic, some one recommended while testing it to have a little area that tells you what each of the cats are doing all the time but that felt to much like running a factory. We wanted to keep it as free for the cats as possible (hence the dilemma, more information for the play vs make the game feel like the cats are happy)

That being said the thought bubble was a plan I had from the very beginning but I didnt implement woooooops

These game jams are amazing in motivating people to finish a project, polished or not, in such a short time. But the time limit is a double-edged sword, because you need to scrap ideas/features to prioritise developing a playable game.

If only Brackeys host a Throwback Game Jam so developers are incentivised to continue polishing their games and presenting it again.

Wait. That's not a bad idea, actually!
