What? No. I think this a pretty wild comment. None of this was made by a human, the one on the right is just a more accurate version of what it was always meant to be. The "apron" is not an apron at all, it's another skirt falsely generated by the AI used.

The "strong silent" eyes seem just messy to me, one of the key signs of bad AI. It's hard to even tell where the eye is in the first place. On the right, it at least looks like she has one. Also the clothing has way more definition now, which by all means is an objective improvement. Just like the hair.

So, I must disagree with your opinion and pretty hard at that too. And this is not even mentioning the actual panty rework, which fixes the straight-up incorrect location of the vagina. Everything is just nicer and cleaner. Would you still have the same opinion if instead the old design was the new one? Would you still think it looks better? I for one, highly doubt it.

I said the detail of the clothes looks better. I even started with that, what the hell are you even debating there? You're arguing with yourself on that point. I wasn't debating that. The girl dropped from twenty-something to looking like jail bait in the face, first of all. Her hair and face went from mature silent type to Shinobu of Love Hina kind of timid mousy. It changed the female into an entirely different one. There is a difference between 'upgrading detail' and 'changing a character completely'. As for me saying I think the left one looks better, I didn't say that. Nowhere did I even imply it. All I said is I prefer the more mature characteristics to the childish bashful ones. They both have ups and downs, I just detailed both. Clothing and shading is better on right. Mature look is better on left, including the inability to see the eye well as if you ever used a camera you'd know that focusing on the foreground blurs the background slightly, even on nearby objects and even with extremely high-end cameras.

These are all valid comments, eg I’ve always been experimenting with different strength of the depth of field effect that I’m adding to the image to simulate the focus of the camera.
I feel like I should turn it down to allow the user to see more details, like how she is looking back at the viewer. But this is definitely not a completed process.

As to her looking younger: that’s not the main intention. I always avoid school uniforms in these pictures because I don’t want them to appear underage. This is a tweak you can see here where I’ve removed the part on her back to avoid it looking like a sailor uniform.
I see how the softer shading on her face can make her look younger and I’ll make sure to have enough diversity in these looks.

One thing I want to mention that I'm not sure you're implying or not, is that the girl shouldn't be looking at the camera in the first place. It's supposed to be a secret shot, and after you successfully take it, she doesn't react to it. I feel like her not looking at the camera should be a pretty clear change, from both a logical and a gameplay standpoint.

This is the case for most photos, but there are a few where the character “side eyes” you (like she is suspecting that something is off) and some very rare photos where they are straight up looking into the camera and even flashing.

But you are totally right that the majority of cases are supposed to be pictures of characters that are unaware of the photo being taken.
