The art is very nice. I struggled a bit trying to reverse my thinking when it came to the shooting, but it's quite clever. Everything seems to work as intended; good job (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ
I loved everything about this game! Wanted to play more and more.
I am very happy you enjoyed it 😁
I really enjoyed playing bullet bee! It was a bit difficult at first learning the shooting from my butt mechanism, but I was slowly getting better. My best score was 60 honeycombs, which I'm sure is nothing compared to others, but I felt very accomplished getting that score when I started out so bad. Great job on your first GWJ entry!
Thanks for playing the game 😄I think I made the game quite hard so I think 60 is a very good score, I already started to continue development for the game and I am planning to release a more polished and easier version of the game after the jam.
Excellent game for a first timer! Lots a of polish!
The added challenge of aiming from bee-hind was neat!
Lol, thanks for playing the game 😁
Really impressed with this one. The small scope was perfect. It really let you polish and juice the game which I think is super important and underrated. Shooting behind you is also a great mechanic as it avoids the biggest issue I have with 2D shooters like this. Most mouse-controlled shooters are too easy since you can just place the cursor directly on-top of the enemies to aim, but here the aim is more ambiguous which makes the game more challenging and fun.
This is great for your first game jam. Keep it up!
Thank you so much 😊, it means the world to me you liked the game.
Also, it is very recommended to do Web builds, if possible.
A lot more people will play your game
Thanks :) ill try doing it next time
Nice & Cute! Amazingly polished for a first game, congratz!
I like the twist of shooting in the other direction of displacement. I think it gets a bit hard to manage, specially because the enemies are very aggresive.
For the next time, having a telegraph of the attack and the spawns might be a good addition.
Anyhow, great work!
Very nice and enjoyable game, one issue though, bullets are a bit hard to dodge, but overall the game shines with an incredible artstyle, easy to read and pleasing to the eyes, with nice music on top. I'd be hella proud if it was my first release.
thank you so much for the comment, it means a lot to me😁
Nice and original graphical style. Gameplay was fun, but I wasn't good enough to see if it developed more later :-). The reversed controls is an interesting idea. Think there could be some better warning of where the enemeis are going to spawn in as it felt like they were spawning in too close for me to respond in time, but overall fun experience
What a gorgeous game, I really like the style! Shooting with bee's BBL was a nice twist for the gameplay. One thing: in main title there are no sounds which got me very confused and made my ears bleed after I started the run.
Thanks you so much for the comment, you really got me there with the bee's BBL 🤣.
I meant to make the song play across scenes but i didn't have the time to implement it
The graphics look very nice, it had a nice vibe to it. The gameplay had a few issues though, like the wasp bullets were so fast I could hardly dodge them, and enemies kept spawning next to me without warning. Overall it was still a fun time!
Thanks for playing my game :) and thank you for the review i appreciate it
