Beautiful illustrations and layout. It made me really curious to find out what would happen if I place alien elements into a kingdom!

Developer(+1)

I think alien elements in a Realm would be weird in a good way! Electric Bastionland, the previous Bastionland game, has aliens as well. Also, Chris McDowall mentioned that the Seers have some kind of alien vibe to them as well.

I think it's easy to praise this one for the lavish illustration work, but the actual content itself is full of interesting flavor too. A little surprised not to see more of its ilk, but hey, that just makes this stand out all the more. Great stuff!

Thank you so much!

Of course! :D

Deliciously eldritch. The art obviously elevates this, but it's the whole package.

Magnificent art! I am not one for cosmic horror usually, but this entry might just make me change my mind and try run this. Stunning work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! All praises to my partner for creating such gorgeous art! Looking forward to hear from your experience running it!

Excellent art and writing that combines eldritch Cthulhu and King in Yellow energy with knights! In Pathfinder 1e I remember there being a Hastur cleric build where you get to engrave the yellow sign to inflict madness, and this very much reminds me of that. It allows players a lot of flexibility with how/where they place it or leave it as a trap. The Alien Seer is also really fun, I love that almost science fiction Call of Cthulhu eldritch horror in fantasy so much.

Developer

Thank you so much! My aim was to emulate occult-character archetypes from the Cthulhu Mythos, so Pathfinder's Hastur cleric is in line, yes! In the Cthulhu Mythos lore, The Elder Sign can be seen as the reverse Yellow Sign, which affects the Eldritch Horrors and other otherworldly creatures. And glad you like the Alien Seer! I've been in a Weird Fiction science fantasy mood, so I'm glad you like it!

You brought a vivid new world of influences to the Arthurian vibe and I love it! Killer marriage of art and rules; they both have a clear and strong voice, which makes the work much more than the sum of its parts. Really beautiful!

Developer

I truly appreciate it! I couldn't have done this without my partner because I believe the art sells it the most lol

I'm glad you love it!

wow, i love the art! the colors are striking and really pop compared to the more muted book tones without feeling out of place. the gameable pieces are both great but i especially dig the omens on the mask and the way you keep stumbling on these scenes of deranged violence without an immediately obvious throughline. i feel like i'd want to hit all of them in pretty quick succession to keep that tension high. really gets my heart racing. great work!

Developer

My partner really went over with the art and I couldn't do this without her. And yes! When I designed the Omens, I was thinking "How to make this to spiral down and even more bonkers" while also capturing the Cosmic Horror vibe. I appreciate the review!

Love the art, and the two rollable tables. Well done!

Thank you!

I was really tempted to do some lovecraftian stuff for my entry as well, glad someone came through with that idea and did it so well

Developer

Thank you! If we had more time, we would've put other Myths based on different Lovecraftian entities such as Cthulhu, Yog-Sothoth, Shub-Niggurath, or the aliens like the Mi-Go lol

Nailed that Lovecraftian crossover vibe -- and the art is gorgeous.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!

The Seer's tablet is really cool, love that! I also like the Masks being fragments of a single entity. It adds an interesting layer to their interactions with the Knights.

Developer(+1)

I had to go through several different objects and ended up with the tablet! I actually got inspired by the Magical Conch shell from Spongebob lol! Glad you love the Masks! Nyarlathotep is a terrific Cosmic Horror entity.

i love the item on the knight is so unique and the kit supporting each other, even the seer matches too with the whole theme, but what i love more is the myth each mask terrorize with different thing yet contain the same fearful vibes, and the madness is just borderline great thing to use as a settings, and lastly the art is so damn good

Developer

Thank you so much!

Beautiful artwork. I love the forbidden grimoire item and table, it looks really fun to roleplay and interact with! Same with the Alien Seer, almost like a Seer version of the Cosmic Knight in the book. I’d really like to see how different people interpret their guidance. The Short and Long term Madness table is awesome, something that is likely useful even when The Masks aren’t in play. The Masks omens are great, I like how all the NPCs are actually part of the Crawling Chaos the whole time (it took a moment to realize why there were so many). Reminds me of The Hydra a little bit because the Myth is very much a disaster and event to persevere through rather than overcome (at first glance). Excellent job with this submission!

Developer

Thank you so much! My partner did tremendous work for the art and layout, so all praises to her on that regard! And yes, I had the "Madness" table in mind so that it might be useful in different situations unrelated to the Myth. I was clearly inspired by Call of Cthulhu, Liminal Horror, and Mothership for that. As for the Myths, yes I made it to be something to be experienced. Like experiencing the inevitable. It's Cosmic Horror, so I hope the sense of dread and uncertainty keeps ramping up. Nyarlathotep is our favorite Cosmic Horror entity, and we wanted to portrayed it this way, with many personas.
